Then stand up and state your point. You are either with shooting/ country sports/ angling/ dogs or against us all ?Where do you have a problem with that???????????????????

As the man says
-
Well, that post will be anything other than UNDISPUTED. If you are a dog man as your pretty picture sugests, don't you realise you are next on the list? But of course I realise your post was a complete windup, or you are a complete twat Yip I'm a complete twat at the wind up with a pretty dog We've been on the anti's hitlist for years Then put in with all country sports folks instead of rubbishing your allies,

The reason I mentioned angling is that there are a massive amount of participants campared to shooting, they appear to be next on the anti's list, and they too have been threatened with a ban on night fishing such as is enforced in much of mainland europe, (bloody channel tunnel). There is a movement to bring all angling bodies together as they do just as you mention, fight their own corner only, I'm alright Jack etc. A combined body for all country sports would be a massive benefit particularly for the small number of shooters etc

I know a place thats gets some ever year, but you can still shoot 100 rabbits in a morning. In contrast my local farm got overun with rabbits about 15 years ago, I/we shot and ferretted them out but only a wave a mixxy controlled them. Only over the last 2 years are they starting to reappear

You and me too mate. Honestly i feel the only answer is a united country sports body, embracing the legal interests of anglers, archers, dog runners and shooters. If not the antis will divide and eventually conquer

To be honest that would be even worse. I don't know many farmers that a) want the police knowing their buisiness, and appreciate midnight calls just to confirm there isn't a problem. Farmers don't want issues like that and would lead to the loss of shooting rights, so the police would probably be very happy to take that option up Totally understand your comment buddy and agree about how farmers feel!!!! ;) What i am trying to get at is that you have informed the land owner and have every legal right to be out there lamping!! But heres the thing , if you choose to notify the

Not a bad looking job at all well worth doing

Try and steam out any dents 1st, should save having to remove too much material. Put a wet cloth over the affected area then iron it for a minute to force steam into the grain. Alternatively just leave a small sponge or wet rag sat on the damaged bit for a while.

Chum, good luck with your recovery and don't rush back. I had a bad accident a couple of years back, it finished me at work, but luckily I'd done enough to take pensions early. It was physical stuff but the effect on me was so great that it pushed me a bit close to the edge, so mI know where your'e at. It was a good 8 months before I could get out but it's the shooting and fishing that get me out of bed nowadays Perfect therapy
-
Just shows how variable stuff can be then, Can't recall anyone else having issues with Eley, other than price?
-
No probs, but give me a call if you pursue this,

Any more detail?, was it friends or did you book something on hols etc??

OP =opening poster do you mean posted a question we all replied and then he didn't reply? Do you think he was trying to get us to admit to illegal activity with a bow in the UK? It could be, I'm sure it happens, but probably just a spur of the moment thing after watching a youtube clip You know the attention span of youngsters these days Sorry showing my age.

I do know of a retired school woodwork teacher that makes them largely for members of the club I used to belong to. Racking my failing brain to think of his name. I can't recall what his main timber was, but he varied it to suit the draw weight of the individual. I do however have the details of an excellant american flat bow maker on the IOW not that that will be of any use to you, trades as "Dragonfly Bows" Have you shot a traditional english longbow? I only ask as they are a bit tempremental(sp), To avoid breaking them you have to warm them up, usually by rubbing them , and I've seen s

It's a problem tho', ok farmer Joe saying "f**k 'em it's my land". Notes on the windscreen is one thing, "murdering scumbag" scratched down the side of your pride and joy is another. That happened to both me and a old shooting aqaintance, same area so probably the same twat. Your right it becomes a bit political, but you have to do enough to keep both sides happy. Don't forget one phone call and your'e likely to be surounded by armed "authority figures"

Not according to my sources. If you only ever eat human flesh you are overwhelmingly likely to suffer all sorts of vitamin deficiency diseases. Beri-beri, kwashiorkor, not to mention the DREADED SILEBY GALLOPING CLAP. Perhaps thats why canibalism died out then Should have said animal then, ,same thing with rabbits evidentally
-
That'll be another dead OP then, Waste of breath from them that replied?
-
Actually I was watching a rerun of QI on some sky channel. For anyone that's not seen it it's Steven Fry and a panel of "comedians" in a sort of sophisticated q&A series, Anyway back to the point. Rabbit, evidentally is the only form of meat that you cannot survive on alone/totally. IE if you eat rabbit only, eventually you will die, and I don't mean from old age

cyclonebri1 replied to SportingShooter's topic in Rimfire, Centrefire & Shotguns
wilts are absolutely shocking, had to wait 4 months to see an officer about getting a .22 rimfire, after that they gave me a .22 hornet by mistake, they give new calibres if you apply for them and mis-off the rounds so you cant buy ammo!me and my mate have dealt with them say for instance 20 times changing calibers etcs.....and i swear about 18 times was wrong.......my mate said he would like to swap his .22 rimfire for a .17hmr and the officer said you havent got a .22 on record!!!!!!!!!! Yes I forgot, Derbyshire did that to me as well, -
And that is what usually happens, they shout loud enough and we lose
-
They shoot carp with the bow too, not to happy about that and I bet the rest of the bivvy brigade aren't either But over there they are classed as vermin. I think anyone would be impressed with the long range stuff shown there, and yeah the old mountain man knows his stuff,
