without wishing to start a fight,,, why have you left this until now to think about your bitches diet?? it sould have been number one top priority before she was even mated,, there are books and books and sites of endless information easily available i just don't understand why you've left it so long. why rely on opinions from people who you don't know how reliable they are, go and search some websites and see what the experts recommend all the best with the bitch and pups

my bitch was 18 months before she had her first season . . veries bitch to bitch mate,, signs start showing well in advance so keep an eye on her to be sure -

i agree with the great white,,, walk accross a feild or stubble etc, and ground that you've seen hare, they will duck down deep and sit until you get within a certain distance,, once the hare is up slip your dog,, no matter how inexperienced, if the dog has chasing instinct the dog will chase,, enjoy the chase,, i sure miss it in england!! bring back hunting!!

the east of england autum show sunday 11th october 2009 9.00 am - 4.30 pm east of england showground, peterborough www.showground.org.uk trade stands, terrier show, lurcher show and racing, agility, rare breed cattle sheep pigs etc, poulty auction, shire horse show, pony club show jumping, donkey driving etc plus food hall mmm who's going? and do we need to book lurchers in advance for racing? all the very best Annemarie xxx

scary thought, must say if were me and i had got myself and dog within safe distance away from some idiot with a rifle, i certainly wouldn't be going back!! brick or no brick i've been shot at before and feck all would make me go back for more! if this story is true glad you and the dog are safe, go and explain what happened to your landowner if this is untrue feck off and get a life!

with my bitch she stopped growing hieght just over a year but filled out and finish developing at nearly two,, it depends on what type of lurcher, a deerhound x will take more growing then a collie x just sit back and wait and see
