    ABOUT the big cats well,the jury is out on that one,wildlife officer near me has a picture of a very very large cat,crossing fields ,and fellas are saying its a set up,you just wont convince some people,simple as that,i suppose i need to see it before i really believe in it

    well gentlemen theres plenty of different points you should consider when it comes to a defender,but that applys to any of the 4x4,they all have there ups and downs,alot of the jap stuff is good but can be a bugger to work on,as well as expensive,landrovers are so easy to repair as well as cheap,i work for a rover garage at mechanical repairs,i also drive a defender,but wait for it,i put a isuzu into it some time back,and i can honestly say bulletproof,it really is worth considering ,if your looking for a hunting wagon that can take a bit of hacking , easy on fuel and cheap to fix,good hunting

    dont bother with wire brush mate,just get a set if cleaning wires they use for cleaning cutting torches oxy/acteylene type,the welding boys will no were to get them,they go from the size of thread up to imm,they be only a few pence

    there should be a certain amount of play in linkage,but there lies a problem,how much play,thats why you have to try move the shift by hand with srewdriver,to determine thats its in the linkage and not the tranfer box,whats it you have,defender or disco

    the linkage can give problems on them mate,take out the councel,which is the surround over the gearbox and you can see if the tranfer stick is doing its job,if not use a large screwdriver to shift the linkage back to high range ,hope this helps,

    While I seem to be flavour of the Month I will break my silence for the last time on this matter I said that I do not find anything here in the UK that prevents me ar my family following our Faith which is Islam. It's a long , long time since I've even been on a hunt where a lurcher was present let alone used for drawing. Using lurchers for drawing has done more harm to fieldsports than all the anti's put together and like I say when someone uses a lurcher at the end it's usually because their afraid to do it themselves.
