    I'm going to try something different next, but if the chance arises at the right time, I might just try some thing half different, as in put my dog (beddy whippet X colie grey)over a saluki bitch.

    One small point to remember is, if the dog is 100% yours, it can be conviscated, but if you register the chip to a friend, or family member, you can say you borrowed it, and it needs to be returned to its owner. 100% chip it, but if you stray a little, maybe dont register the chip to yourself.

    I think if you shaved the gremlin, you would see a lot more of the merle before after Yours is a lot darker though, so it shows up less

    I'm a bit pissed of from the lamping side of things, but got to say, I do love a good mooch in the snow, keeps the dogs fit, feeds the ferrets and its real good for seeing what is about, and where, for when the weather clears :-).

    I agree with a lot of what Ideation just said, but also do like the merle colouring, mine wouldnt win a show I'm fairly certain of that, the fugly hairy mongrel :-) he does work very well for me though, and has filled a few chest freezers in his 5 years.

    Skin them, and cover in parma ham, or bacon even more flavour that way. They always fall apart when I pluck them

    I would wait another year or 2, that way you have a better stagger in age, so when one starts to slow, the other will be coming into its prime. Also gives you more time to spend on the dog you have.
