  1. This should be started in another thread because it's not ghosty... How do you catalogue, fund, test, select, and breed among 7bn people? The dynamics of the project alone is unfathomable. Who get's to decide what are the characteristics with which you wish to achieve this object? Would you concur that eugenics hasn't been achieved exactly because we've evolved?
  2. But it simply isn't possible with the genetic variance in humans.
  3. With the explosion of the human population genetic change is happening faster than ever. Positive selection has occured 100 times faster, in the last 5000 years, than at any other time in human evolution. We've gone from bullshitting on stone tablets, to bullshitting on the world wide web! Slow growing cultures are at a disadvantage and the amount, and complexity, of genetic change, so far, would make eugenics impossible. It would be nice to go forward and see just what would happen. Would we be better off? Or would we have destroyed the planet entirely? By definition they're unid
  4. I re-read my original posting, up there, and I realise it could've come across a little wrong, as it's heavy on the bullshit. For everyone here, posting their experiences, I'm not suggesting you're bullshitting anyone. I believe that you sincerely experienced what you say you experienced. However without anything other than an anecdotal account I cannot believe it is, what you believe it is. Apologies, ladies and gents, for confusion.
  5. Bit of both? Not necessarily... Maybe both? Eventually maybe we could explain everything... If we can explain it surely it would require a degree of understanding? Humanity has a tendency to make up shit, to fill in the gaps of it's understanding. Hey Francie. Keeping very well thanks, yourself? It could indeed be trans-dimensional for all we know but it could also be a plethora of natural occurrences that just haven't been explored enough to rationalise the scenario? Bullshitting doesn't disprove it, no, but not being able to explain it and then creating a w
  6. The real question is whether it's truly something otherworldy? Mankind has a tendency to create colourful stories when we can't explain things. The bloke bullshitting in the pub isn't a new phenomenon... We've been bullshitting our fellow man since we evolved the ability to grunt... When we evolved the ability to "draw words" we started to record that bullshit and pass it on, and on, and on... Is it really paranormal, or is it just that we haven't figured it out yet?
  7. I've read a lot on him over the years, and I think that Badass article is one of the best summaries! My grandad was a huge fan of his and said he started watching his films when he'd heard about his work in the war. That's how I got into Hammer films. Watching him act like he did was amazing and then you start digging for information on him and it just keeps going and going! His talents seemed limitless! I read the quote but I believe it's on the DVD commentary for Peter Jackson's Return of the King. “When I was shooting the stabbing shot with Christopher, as a director wo
  8. I hope they'll finally reveal what he did for the Ministry of Ungentlemenly Warfare. Have a read of the humorous biography Christopher Lee - Badass Of The Week 26/10/12. It's worth a few minutes to read a bit of his life outside Hammer.
  9. Fair one! I'm not on here often enough to catch some of the inside jokes! I'm a massive fan love to watch it all. We have a huge Samoan community here, and I've propped in a couple of their friendlies. I started as the token white guy but when I proved I could mix it I'm part of the family. I've even earned the monika palagi alelo... White b*****d. I got that from popping my opposites ribs in the scrum. I record a lot of the games to highlight some of the more technical plays... It's been really helpful even in the games that most people wouldn't bother with. Loads of improvement.
  10. One was probably in season... Maybe the dawn of a new species...
  11. Neither. You have nothing at stake. Use the lack of bias to enjoy some beautiful rugby.
