  1. I'd be amazed if she's not a member on here, lets face it, she wouldn't be very good at her job if she wasn't.
  2. LOL, like yourself Liam I start to get claustrophobic if I'm near the outskirts.
  3. Liam, before my time (I'm not suggesting you're old, lol) but the lads who ran the trials used to have a Christmas dinner every year in a hotel in the middle of Dublin. Were you ever at it ? The reason I thought of it was because yer mans Hotel would be a candidate ,lol.
  4. The truth is that this 1000 years (if not more) us lot in Ireland and the British isles when it comes to our dogs, horses, gamefowl and indeed ourselves are a tenacious lot who love an argument as much as our animals do and such is life. Debate is good for any sport as long as it doesn't get personal.
  5. With both of ye smoking. LOL. Glyn, other than Punch what's the name of the other two ?
  6. Should that be on the inter-net, it's not very politically correct !!!!!!!!!

  8. Are those BLACK terriers I see Blaise, LOL, excellent pictures. Good to see there's still some common sense in this silly world. Keep up the good work, .
  9. +2 , there just fookin cowards , and that young woman with them. my 1st gut reaction is to them, is to do the same back and put them in the A/E . but what you got KEEP REMEMBERING is we as hunters weather if its with dogs, guns, fishing rods , are not liked by MOST joe public FACT . So any reprisals by us lot would always be on a looser, as prob most in the court are against hunting anyway , there maybe bit more tolerance with shooting , maybe fishing, but no way with hunting with dogs, its over its history and thats what they want it to be people of this country .i must be honest thou
  10. Next week is the Irish and the Glen of Imaal, don't hold your breath on it showing their traditional role, but ye never know. P.S. Don't tell the Sassenachs, .
  11. Nice work. The realtree on the pedestal is a nice touch, a true hunter, LOL.
  12. Those two are typical of most Park terriers I've seen over the years, BUT, in saying that, there was a very good 3/4 Park 1/4 John Cowan black and tan terrier in the North a few years back and he was smooth and so were a lot of his offspring, but like I say he wasn't directly off Mr Park himself. I did breed one litter for a lad and they were over 3/4 Park breeding and although I didn't keep any I think they all came rough coated. But maybe I've seen a lot more smooth types of this breeding but it's just the rough coated ones I remember, LOL.
  13. I've seen smooth terriers bred by JP over the years too but nowadays you seem to see more smooth than rough, or maybe it's just the pictures I see. I had a red bitch for 15 years who was mostly Park breeding and she had the best coat I've ever seen on a terrier. It could only be described as hairy. Was it the Great Yorkshire or The Welsh that used to have a cup called the John Park cup for the champion Lakeland ? And if I remember correctly the cup for champion Patterdale was named after Ken Gould ?
  14. Dog's been found safe and well with four men being questioned.
  15. Where's the smooth coats come from that you see on some terriers nowadays that carry the Park label ? JP was always well known for breeding good solid red very rough coated terriers, often called Lakelands. Has JP bred these smooth dogs or are they terriers with only some of his breeding in them but they still get called Park types ?
  16. Never weighed a terrier in my life but I do like it when you pick one up it feels 5 or 6 lbs heavier than it looks. A good sign IMO.
  17. I love to see a mask with the mouth shut and that's excellent ,thanks for sharing.
  18. Brilliant job, as said before it looks alive, but, it's a Grey Partridge. .
  19. It's not unusual to see a few rabbits around a hole, but that one has hairs on it.
  20. Wise words Dido but Kanny's methods sure would be fun to see.
  21. Daytime, you've some chance because a lot of horses know what a dog is, even if it's hunting. Personally, I'd walk through a field of horses if dogs were beside me quicker than cows with calves, no problem. Dogs beside you horses are easy to keep back. Night time, most stock will spook but horses will kill you or themselves and that £200 plug that breaks a leg will be worth £2000 by the time the vet shoots it.
  22. I don't know if it's a good thing or not but the ol' boys knew a trick or two. One thing that the tar and oil did do was that it made enough of a barrier to stop fungal infections spreading and infections getting in. But, they did also bury a lot of dogs that didn't need burying.
  23. She hasn't been prosecuted yet so tight lips and there's a good chance she wont be prosecuted so now ye have the problem of an anti on your door step.
