    An old tart goes into a high street high class department store and walks up to the perfume counter. The woman behind the counter asks in a posh accent "would you like to try some of our scents ?" She sprays a little on the tarts wrist and the tart asks "what's this bleedin' stuff called then ?" The posh woman says "It's called Come To Me." The tart takes a sniff and says "it doesn't bleedin' smell like cum to me."

    Explain please ? And just to add my two cents worth to an argument that could go on forever. The best terriers IMO are and always have been in the hands of those who hunt for sport.

    I hate smocks. You can't open them down the front for air and when taking them off they always mess my hair up, usually just after I've got it right.

    Some of the last few seasons a fleece is good enough nearly 'till Christmas. IMO the one thing a terriermans coat or jacket needs in zipped pockets for his car keys, after that I aint fussy.

    That's what the history books tell us Len but the dog that Stiff is describing is more like the wheaten type and the early history of the wheaten is that of a farm cur too. BUT, there's stories of Blue Pauls being fought in organised fights and that the Staff and the Blue Paul did meet many times. But The Stiffmeisters posts are very interesting. I'd love to see those photos too. And as has been said it would be strange for a breeder like Mr Breay to use a rough farm cur over his terriers. This thread was started by a trouble maker to make trouble but if anything good has come out of it is that things have cleared between ye two.     Denys James Watkins-Pitchford was a British naturalist and a childrens author who wrote under the name BB. If you go on Ebay RH and type in books by BB, many 1st editions are commanding high prices. Hope that helps mate? He also wrote for a long time for The Shooting Times and they still reprint his articles regularly. His wildfowling articles are unsurpassed IMO.
