Havent looked at the whole thread so probably already been said but mental illness going unchecked is one thing.....allowing the English language to be used incorrectly in public news etc is just plain wrong...." they " refers to more than 1 person,always has done and always will.....if these mental cases want to make out they are " different " thats one thing but you're not having the English language with it.

I cant be doing with all these fancy Latte,Cappucino,Frappa whatever they're called.....just a nice normal white coffee does me, cuppa tea or even hot chocolate out of Mcdonalds are all fine by me. That said i draw the line at Bovril i remember trying to warm up at the footie on that it was like drinking Marmite ?

In terms of normal everyday cars i always think the whole " retro " thing plays a big part in their future value.....its like back in the 80's there were far better cars around than the Rs Escorts and Fast Fords Capris/Cortinas etc but it certainly doesnt seem to have harmed their value today as sporty Fords of that era are riding a wave of popularity at the moment fetching strong money...nobody ever thought a mark 1 Escort would end up going for 60k one day so why shouldnt the same apply to a Focus.... people get to a certain age when they can now afford stuff they liked but maybe couldnt aff

So should folk break their bollocks to create a wealthy lifestyle only to hand it all over to an independent body when they die in order that their offspring do not get a head start in life ?....what sort of motivation is that ! Bizarre outlook some folk have on life.

Stone the crows whats the sp here everyone seems to of gone stark raving mad over the xmas period ?....everyones turned into a bunch of whingeing little old women getting upset on other peoples behalf ? I can barely remember the names of more than a handful of members and i dont think its any coincidence that some of the ones who have gone literally used this place as their social lives ?...funny little gaff this sometimes !

Stone me theres some f****n oddballs on here ,too many years watching Starsky & Hutch for some ? I have a few old motors put away for a rainy day just because i like cars....just before xmas someone owed me a few bob and i took this as payment,not quite a " classic " yet but not a bad motor....drives like new to be fair i really like it reminds of different times.

Agree with all of that we in this country seem to have a hard time getting our heads round the fact that dogs are property.....having a dog put to sleep if a suitbale home cant be found should be basic common sense. In reference to the " rescues " we was looking into a rescue dog ourselves several years ago,until i realised in many cases it was nothing more than a way of financing the obsessive hobbies of mad little old ladies.

Out of curiosity Mchull......was you interested in all that Ufc stuff when it first came about in the early 90's ?......i honestly thought it was a breath of fresh air.....at last " real fighting " i thought......i went to a few Vale Tudo tournaments it even inspired me to start taking it all a bit more serious in gyms back then....but little by little more and more rules came in so as not to upset folk and now your left with something thats not even close to a real fight.........just for once i thought " sport " was going to override " money "....but no.....its a huge industry now of course b

I think every generation probably says the same its why old people tend to not be particularly happy people ? But i do find it hard to imagine another generation of people who have had to endure as much radical change to " normal life " than the era we currently find ourselves in.

We've booked a little cottage in the Lake District leave tomorrow till about Tuesday i think it is....quite looking forward to it just me the wife and 2 other couples we've known years should be quite a giggle nice food,company and scenery....look forward to seeing the grandson when we get back....hope you's all have a good Xmas all the best chaps

The whole " its gone too far now " attitude is a defeatist attitude but a perfectly logical one as Brits when we look around us.....but i like to think as first world intelligent citizens we ultimately do what we think is right anyway,we all have our own morals to uphold and i dont think any proper person would literally throw the towel in and deliberately go against their own beliefs....so whether it be as a simple tick on a ballot or in more active ways we can all only do what we can do......maybe its wishful thinking on my behalf but im of the opinion that people will only be pushed so far -
