I,ll make it simple for you.......do you believe ALL people are capable of killing another person if subject to the right provocation ?..........no of course they are not,there are some people who just simply do not have the core capability within them to retaliate with extreme violence. Same thing different species.

Your not undestanding what im saying.....not all dogs have the capability to bite a human,some just dont have it in them.....BUT....we dont know which dogs these are so to leave a child alone with ANY dog is wrong. Its like saying all people are capable of killing somebody with their bare hands simply because all people have hands !!....they are not,some people just dont have it in them to kill a person no matter what the provocation......do we know which people these are ? no of course we dont until such occasions arise. I wouldnt assume a dog wouldnt bite either......but i still know that

Gamedog breeders stick to a certain line for a variety of reasons.....its generally accepted breeding principal that dogs will always revert back to the average of what a line has to offer.....what this means in reality is predictability.....the main reason for inbreeding within a line is to cut down on the amount of variables within what a line can produce meaning the traits both desirable and undesirable become easier to predict. Thats exactly what im saying,its neither !...if its genetic its passed on,meaning somewhere along the line at least 1 ancestor at some stage had to be a carrier........but what if none existed ?...........if its psycological,it would mean the dog has experienced " something " that has formed an unnatural emotional characteristic within that dog.....again,but what if none existed ? Despite what folk think,not all players go after money....within a year Andy Carrol will be a rich man,yes he could move clubs and be more rich....but most times a player moves clubs to push himself and test himself at the highest level.I think Carrol will move at some stage as very few top players spend their whole career at one club unless its a top club. Nearly all.....where do those dogs/people/birds/fish come from who are neither a product of their genetic inheritance OR a product of their environment ?......commonly described as the genetic freaks. If a dog is not bred down off manbiters anywhere in its background and was not raised in a bad environment yet it attacks/kills a human....where does this streak of viciousness come from the moon ?

Whatever anthropomorphism means i neither know or care.......what i do know is a dog that kills a human being is a bad dog within the confines of what as human beings in the world we live in make judgement......now while i accept that a dog wont necessarily see this as " bad " it certainly doesnt come natural to a domestic dog to kill a human the way it would come natural to a wild lion !....so within the world we live we can safely assume a dog that kills a human is bad !..... What we are discussing here is the reasons for it and the good old nature versus nurture debate.......i believe that

Of course i wouldnt,i cant read a dogs mind so i use the common sense approach as i explained.....but to say ALL dogs are capable of biting is plain wrong.....they are not,we just dont know which ones would and which wouldnt hence safety is best.

Its called learned behaviour.....dogs do not make decisions based on right or wrong,they operate out of learned behaviour based on what they know/have been taught by us or have been genetically handed down. Mauling a human being to death is not learned behaviour and is not genetically handed down....so where does it come from ?......some dogs or people for that matter are born with rare and unexplainable talents and qualities,just the same as some are born with rare and unexplainable faults be it physical or mental.....genetic freaks would be another name for them...... to think bad dogs d

I understand what your saying here but the reality is you cant expect one without the other.....dog matching is illegal,yet the reality is the only TRUE american pit bull terrier is the game fighting dogs that make up probably around 5% of the breed wordlwide....and it is this 5% of the breed that are the only apbt,s i would trust !!.....the 95% of the breed you see walking the streets today are not true representatives of the breed as they are not bred from game fighting stock......the further away from the pit you breed these dogs the worse they get.....so in reality,you cant really breed tr

I understand any sportsman who reaches the top of his sport is gifted.....i just fail to see where the skill is in riding a horse.....i admit im totally ignorant to the sport,i know nothing about it at all......im just throwing a few thoughts round in my own nut about it thats all......so your probably right in all you say Im not altogether convinced on sportsman becoming greats in sports where the equipment is as important,if not more important as the sportsman himself.....Motor sport,Horses etc

But thats my whole point,what is the gift it takes to ride a horse ?....how much skill does it take ?....im not being a prick saying its easy or it dont take any skill....im sure it does.....but come on,do you really think a skill such as Ali was blessed with can be compared with the skill a jockey may have....i admit im probably quite ignorant to exactly what is needed to be a great jockey.....but i cant help thinking its not on the same level skill wise as many other sports.

Yep cant argue with anything youve said.....the only thing i think your slightly overlooking is this...hard work,dedication,sacrifice etc is great,but ANYONE can do that....it doesnt equate to being a great sportsman.....great sportsman are BORN not MADE.......if it was just a case of who worked the hardest or who wanted it most then natural skill and talent could be overcome by hard work and dedication......and as you know,they cant !.....I dont believe any great sportsman become great without some kind of gift they were born with,thats what puts them on a different level......that gift d

The trouble with dogs being " property " is where do you draw the line.....can i rip my dogs eyes out while burning his bollocks on the gas hob before slitting his throat for my own amusement ....its my property right ? We own dogs but they are not our property.....im not totally against BSL even concerning the breed your probably on about.....some breeds are not for everyone

Obviously everything has its levels,some are acceptable some are not....ive no problem with 2 fellas sorting a problem out with a few right handers....but if they stab or shoot each other thats unacceptable !...the same as puff and class a are opposite extremes.
