  1. Thats all fine and dandy.....but what about every other race of people that plays a part in destroying our country ?...Muslims are " part " of the problem yes.....the thing with Muslims is they are loud about what they do.....east europeans are the silent killers of our nation.....but hey, they work hard so they,re ok Your either a patriotic Brit or your not in my eyes....you cant just pick and choose who you want to protest against !
  2. Absolutely agree.........i cannot for the life of me understand why this group who call themself the EDL single out Muslims....why stop there, are they the only problem this country faces when it comes to foreigners Yes,muslims spit at British soldiers......well pakies have nicked all our corner shops, poles have killed our building trade and on and on and on....see how daft it sounds !!...........why single out Muslims As a nutty old Englishman once said...." We dont know them and we dont want to know them....any of them ".....maybe he wasnt quite so nutty after all.
  3. Possibly the first time ive ever agreed with something artics said ...plenty dogs are naturally on the thin side same as some are prone to carry weight.....when its a dog thats of a slender build anyway its easy to mistake it for being skinny.....even light framed dog breeds can have specimens that are naturally thinner than the average of the breed....it dont mean their unhealthy
  4. I sometimes read how some of you chaps watch boxing on the internet through a link....i forget what you call them now..... Is there anyone good enough to do a link for the Bernard Hopkins fight tonight....and do you just click it and watch away ?....im not too bright with computers It dont seem to be on any of the sky channels and id like to see it....if anyone can help...i,ll owe you one
  5. [quote name='gonetoearth' some good amutures and novice pros gnash hey nash do you remember a guy at paddington boxing club he ran it and was a local councillor steve ive forgot his last name Not sure about that one mate....how far back you going ....you dont mean what is now called the All Stars club off Harrow Rd....Steve Lynch was training there for a while but he certainly wasnt a councillor he shared the same 1 brain cell with his brother and father
  6. I only watched it on the box so you would be able to judge better.....but the kid Bellew looked very vulnearable to me,no doubt he has the tools but he seems to fight with too much emotion, lost his rag a couple of times....I watched him fight a 4 rounder a few years back on the Danny Williams/John Mcdermot undercard and i remember he was the same then....i kept an eye on his career as it was obvious he was a talented kid....best of luck to him i hope he continues to improve, you have a few good prospects coming out of Liverpool again.
  7. Seen the film before and every documentary out there,i have a morbid fascination with sept 11 ........i remember watching the United 93 film and doing what probably every man does and saying to himself " what would i do ".....you would like to think you would get stuck in but in the confusion and panic of the moment whos to say how anyone would react.....life is precious and all that. I often think it was probably harder for the family of the victims on the other end of the phone,at least it was in the hands of the people on the plane. Terribly sad day.
  8. His core strength is coming through, every fighter matures at different times when he lost to Prescott he had the speed of a man but the core strength of a boy....couple that with the fact he now has a defence and its bound to create better punch resistance. I said after his second pro fight Khan would be a world champion most people thought i was nuts !....He still has a lot to learn and a long way to develop before he can fear nobody but he continues to improve.A better punch picker than Maydana such as a Mayweather or Paquiao would have finished him when he was in trouble but Khan was elusi
  9. Your pal has nothing to be ashamed of he showed courage and stickability which are great qualities....he was just beaten by a superior all round fighter on the night. Degale surprised me he actually looks a better fighter than i thought he was.
  10. The reason they fitted in so easy is that the irish are essentially the same as us english...have the same values the same traditions and the same understanding of basic right and wrong....in other words we have a lot in common so can live side by side with no problems.....we have nothing in common with muslims from basic principals to normal everyday living so to expect us all to live together in harmony is unrealistic and unfair...... That said i think this EDL stuff is a waste of time, why pick out one single part of society to protest against....thats nothing to do with pride in your count
  11. Few people would dispute Robinson was the greatest middleweight of all time, can you imagine a fighter of that magnitude in todays times fighting over 200 fights !...today a 40 fight pro career is seen as a long career......Robinson fought Jake Lamotta 6 times in all out wars !! Thats right Robinson had fought in France,Germany etc before Turpin beat him in London.....That fight was massive for England,it was just after the war years and morale was low,Turpin became an instant national hero......unfortunately his death in 66 went pretty much unnoticed due to England winning the world cup which
  12. I dont claim to know much about the internet or forums but whats the big deal about arguments anyway....its not like its important so why the obssession with policing the forum so strictly....if people want to carry on like 9 year olds then just ignore them...ultimately,people will read whats interesting and ignore whats not....so dont that kind of take care of itself.
  13. The Lamotta/Robinson fights are historic all time great fights....Turpins first fight with Robinson was one of those freak results alongside Tyson/Douglas....most people said Turpin wouldnt see the 4th round !....It could be said Robinson took him lightly as the rematch proved. Hearns was possibly the most exciting fighter of his era, mainly due to the fact he had no punch resistance as he went up through the weights.
  14. Yes i remember you....cant quite remember what i remember....but i remember the name ...hope your keeping well
  15. One of my favorite fighters ever Randy Turpin,my old dad would tell us stories about him,how he was way ahead of his time....The Leamington Licker .....with a bit more knowledge and dedication to the sport he could have been one of the greats.....shame the way he ended up.
  16. Just to note....Alan Sugar was the only one who ever made money from owning a football club ! When folk talk about Ashley and the like they need to blame the club not the owner....nobody forced the powers that be to sell Newcastle to Ashley or Chelsea to Abramavich etc etc.....you cant sell somebody something and then moan when they do what they want with their own property ! That said i honestly believe Ashley will ultimately do good for the club, after all....if it wasnt for him they possibly would have been in administration by now....something the everyday football fan understandably f
  17. I did ? ...its possible im a generous chap like that just dont recognise your name. All things considered Holyfield was a great fighter, unfortunately his weight was against him he wasnt really big enough for the heavyweight division but there was no money at cruiserweight....his best fights in my opinion were at light heavyweight....great fights he had with Dwight Qawi,Saad Muhammed etc etc that will be forgotten because he will be remembered as a heavyweight.....Very crisp and clean puncher in his day, could take a great shot and was an intelligent boxer.....career just went on a littl
  18. Id go as far as to say Frazier was possibly the gamest heavyweight fighter who ever lived....the systematic beating he took in that fight coupled with his fighting style meant only the very gamest of characters could or would have kept walking forward in that fight.Frazier only knew one way to fight so whether things went his way or not he stuck to what he was good at most often he wore people down and it paid off,a few times it didnt.....unfortunately i dont think he was ever the most pleasant of individuals and im told he,s a bitter old man today.Still detests Ali,apparently whenever Ali,s p
  19. What makes you think Martin o Neil would take the job.....Pardew is a scrapper,id love him back at West Ham....Chris Hughton seemed to be the players friend !....in a tough relegation battle you want a manager whos going to get stuck into the players not be their friend and rub their belly surely !
  20. He understands the buiseness of football.....he could obviously see what Newcastle fans couldnt and thats the reality that they are highly likely to be in a tough relegation battle, something Hughton has no experience of.....if they were to go down thats the first thing Newcastle would be saying " why didnt he bring in an experienced manager "....he doesnt make these decisions on his own same as any other club...but naturally his buiseness interests have to be taken into account as well.....he didnt go from nothing to being a billionaire by making bad choices, might not be popular choices but he
  21. While i agree with all you say about Ali.....i actually believe Tyson is quite a respectful guy towards other boxers,at least he is now his careers over !....i wouldnt say he sucked up to Ali,or Lewis for that matter he just realised he wasnt in their league when it came to boxing...Tyson is a great student of boxing and has a very good knowledge of all the old time fighters....before the height of his career.....and after his career he has been a decent guy,it was just while he was at the top or near the top he was a complete prick ! Ali would have played with him for as long as he wanted. It
  22. Not during his boxing career he didnt,he was a very healthy living fella and a great trainer.....what he did after his career was over, who cares.....smokey clubs he was a dj for a while i would imagine they go hand in hand.
  23. " had he lived a cleaner life " ...whats that supposed to mean ....Benn was one of the most dedicated and best trainers in the game,no doubt his army background helped but he was a great athlete who always came into the ring in fantastic condition. Eubank had his number....simple.
  24. ...no...walking was very new to me in 1962
