  1. It was a nasty tackle alright, but i thought Nani was f****n hilarious the way he chased the ref around trying to show him his leg before realising that collapsing on the ground and crying in agony makes much more sense As a neutral i thought it was a great game and Liverpool dominated in every department,Utd didnt look nowhere near as up for it,Suarez looks like he,s going to do some damage in this league.....good result alround, lets Arsenal in but they will come unstuck again like they did yesterday and drop silly points......anyway,never mind that, come on you Irons
  2. Think Jimmy Mcdonell might believe otherwise ....wee Barry was great when things were going his way....but he lost composure and technique whenever his back was against the wall...wouldnt question his heart but certainly panicked whenever under severe pressure......his skin colour and nationality had a lot to do with his success and popularity in America.Great fights with Pedroza and Cabrerra though.
  3. Mad one that eh Stan .....Just my luck to be away on holiday when we do the mighty Liverpool 3-1 !!...... Gonna go down to the wire again this year i still think my bets safe ....though hopefully i lose !
  4. Some list that sir.....may i ask,is this merely some of your own favorites or what you consider to be " greats " ? Do you really consider Hector Camacho a great ?? my old pal Boza Edwards had him on the back foot and running for his life for 11 of the 12 rounds in Miami in the mid ,s....and still lost the decision ...very overated fighter Camacho in my opinion. Don Curry ?....if he had the balls to match his talent he could have been a great, but believed his own hype and realised just how hard the game is when he met Honeyghan....and after. Marlon Starling,John Conteh,Galindez,Pa
  5. Get in touch with the ABA they have a list of docs in your area, yes you can pay privately but it cant be your everyday gp,you will need your me1 form which is to apply for the me3 which is the card you will need at tournaments....your opponents coach or the tournament doc can ask for your card at any time.Normally the medical will be in 2 parts, one a general chat about your medical history, past illness etc....the other an actual medical...the eye test standard always used to be 6/18 in the better eye,6/36 in the worse ...he will look at your hands listen to your heart, hold your nuts....all tha
  6. Great shout that i forgot about him...... Think id be inclined to invite him back for a second try ( joke )
  7. " London Underworld "....." Invite Only " ....think you been watching too much telly mate ....that " event "if you can call it that, was put on by a south east london buisenessman named Terry Martin,if im not wrong the programme also included a bit about dog matching.....the tv mob asked Terry if he knew people who would take part in the program......he asked a few well known local lads who regularly fight for money but they refused to take part in the program,so he organised a " pay at the door " event so as not to let the tv people down and simply put the word about, hence why a bunch of
  8. Thats got to be the Princess Alice near Spitalfields then...i was born up the road in Bethnal Green.....nothing wrong with that mate its good to take in a bit of history
  9. Great picture there sir ....would love to have seen it in colour.
  10. Ince only got stick because of the way he went....if we classed all the players that leave us for bigger clubs as a judas we would be a very hateful bunch !....we understand here that we have been a breeding ground for top players going to big clubs....Ince was from the area and would be welcomed back here that i know for a fact. Ive still got an old " chicken run hero....Julian Dicks " t shirt ....just did a quick youtube search....this is the way to take a penalty !!
  11. sure ....im away on holiday for a few weeks as as of tomorrow but i,ll have a hunt around for them when i get back
  12. Holloway comes across like a bit of an attention seeking drama queen to me....done a good job though thats for sure.....if the timing had been better id love to have seen Chris Hughton down here or Alan Pardew returning.....my manager for the future at West Ham is Paul Ince,he would be a favorite with most fans.....or one day the dream manager here would be God himself,Julian Dicks....though its a big step from Grays Athletic,or maybe not the way we,re going Anyway,i say again.....Rooneys wonder goal yesterday was a shinner that could have gone anywhere....would you not agree ?
  13. i,ll give you another 20 for free if you want them ...had loads given to me over the years i just give them to anyone who wants them....infact aint you the lad i gave a few to before
  14. Twisted logic but.....i sincerely hope you do
  15. Totally agree Dan.....in fairness ive seen a few who could fight but lacked the dedication and temperament it takes to be a fighter....one who springs to mind was Bobby Frankham who i knew well back in the ,s but he got a life ban for clouting the ref,his brother Johnny won a British title, but has been proven a real scummy lowlife in more recent years ... My view is they think its all about the big macho " i,ll fight anybody " attitude and not everything else that go,s with it......that attitude works at one level but as you know when you go up in level you need a little more than just gut
  16. If all you want to see is folk getting sparked out then go stand outside a nightclub any friday or saturday night !.....if you want to see skill, technique and athletic intelligence you have to look a little further than the snarling and growling
  17. If its that obvious to someone a couple of hundred miles away why cant our own club owners see it !! We do have some decent players, but a manager with absolutely no fire in his belly whatsoever, apart from picking the team i dont see what Avram Grant brings to this club....apparently at half time yesterday at 3 nil down little Scott Parker took over the team talk and was virtually crying, pleading with the players to raise their game.....thats what a team fighting for their lives needs not Grants pathetic mumbling and totally uninspiring personality.....Piquionne is a confidence player,he can b
  18. I cant for the life of me understand this craze lately with " gypsy " bareknuckle fighting ....like Gypsies are the only human beings who ever had a straightener I tend to think it became " trendy " after the Snatch film, seems like any old prat with 2 fists and a video camera felt they were worthy of filming ....after all said and done they fight under marquis of queensbury so why not just watch pro boxing if you want to see a " good fight ".....or does the fact they have no gloves on and a few bellies hanging over their belt make it just a little bit " more real "
  19. Mines still alive but not functional enough to get a conversation out of....Muhammed Ali.....theres 101 things id like to ask him....did manage to meet him back in the early 90,s and get a handshake and a whisper in the ear though ive no idea what he said sadly.....id give anything to be able to sit down and spend an hour or 2 with him when he was fully intact mentally. Not that im into all that Karate nonsense but Bruce Lee seemed a fascinating character id like to have had a natter with him......also....Bin Laden, wouldnt mind a little word in that lads ear ! Good interesting question
  20. So many different places for so many different reasons.... Theres still parts of East London i love in its own special way,the rawness and excitement etc.....Burnmouth up on the Scottish border is a place i love, infact theres a small layby on the a1 that looks down over the cliff on a house/farm ive had my eye on for years, beautiful air and scenery. Went to a place called Forres up near Inverness some years ago the mrs fell in love with it and i ended up buying a small place there a stones throw from raf Kinloss but only managed to get up there a handful of times and ended up selling last ye
  21. Not long got in myself from the midlands....was looking disastrous for us at half time but good on the boys we showed some fighting spirit to get a draw...still cant see us staying up...but come on the mighty hammers !! Havent seen it yet but im told Rooneys goal was a cracker....didnt sound the best derby game ever but there plodding on Utd....think the title could come down to the Arsenal game....apart from Utd Arsenal have got a nice run in whereas Utd dont have it anywhere near as easy.....going to be exciting thats for sure.
  22. ...maybe its me then.....but i took the chaps post to be a description of how the scene looked.......thats all.
  23. To be serious for a minute.....i cant seem to get that website up is it www.s4solotec.com Have i got that right ?.
  24. carry .....if they aint got buggies....i dont book .....playing bumper buggies infront of all the posh knobs is part of the fun ....dunnarf get up some speed them little things.
  25. ....yeah i stuck it out....spose its in my nature i just dont like to let something beat me,and boy was i rubbish .....i dont particularly like the game if im honest its just a chance to have a good ol natter with a few pals and see a nice bit of scenery.....dont think Mr Woods has anything to worry about put it that way
