Well this topic has certainly turned a corner.....im way out of my league i aint got the foggiest idea what some of yous are on about.....but of the small bits and bobs i do understand i liked what Born hunter said about religion and faith being 2 very different things....makes sense that .....from my understanding of evolution and genetics much of this is self explannatory and can be figured out with a little thought and common sense........but a good bit of whats been spoken about might as well be Japanese to me but nonetheless its very impressive how educated some of you folk are......anyw

Without doubt there will be people who read this that take the piss,laugh or generally think this chap deadgame is completely nuts..........personally i admire the guts it takes for a man to stand by his convictions and be true to himself regardless of what others say..... Fighting .....would you call that silly boys american wrestling fighting just because theres 2 men in a ring throwing each other about.....no. From my understanding these dogs " fight " more on a traditions/show basis than anything actually competetive....the rules and sheer size of the dogs go against everything a competetive " fight " should be in my opinion.

I wasnt directing my thoughts at you mate i just meant people in general ( myself included up till a few years ago )......i was raised with absolutely nothing to do with religion,not because my parents were in any way against it simply because it never got a look in we was all too busy with other things.....however now life has slowed down a bit and i suppose as we all mature we tend to look a little more into certain things we wouldnt normally have given the time of day ( i even started playing golf a while back )..... Personally i think its easy to write off religion when you have no reason to really give it much thought.....it was always something i could never really be bothered to look into as its usually someone we dont know banging on about it and we quickly lose interest and pass them off as a bit of a fruitcake......but when people we know start to talk about it maybe thats when we start to listen,and when they are people on our level,who share the same interests and values we do and who we would class as one of our own and not folk we cant associate with i think its then much easier to show an inter

Ive always found the internal workings of a dogs mind a fascinating subject.....for me the difference between a good/bad trainer is just how well a person can connect with a dogs mind.....i believe every dog must be treated as an individual regardless of breed you cant say all Jack Russells should be trained like this and Spaniels should be trained like this.....naturally certain breeds are going to carry some traits stronger than others but they still all need a different outlook when it comes to training......and in my opinion being able to read a dog through the very basic connection you ha

Shouldnt knock another mans faith in god.......ive a couple of close pals both of who have gone a bit nutty on the whole God thing over recent years,one of which is now a full blown born again christian....both good solid fellas just took a different turn....needless to say i get jesus this and jesus that in the ear hole every other day lately.....some of it makes sense some of it dont,its not something im ready to look too deep into at this stage of life but whos to say what happens later on.... If the fella feels god plays a part on his life then who are we to tell him he,s wrong.

The reason i remember that kid Robbie Lawlor was because he looked a decent boxer which theres been very few of in that game.....i seem to remember about 10 years ago im sure it was on the same card as Ken Shamrock and Ortiz he got a first round ko and i kept my eye on him for a while but he never really seemed to come to much i know he was part of that little mob with Pat Miletich.....seeing him behind Matt Hughes this morning i couldnt work out if it was him or Grizzly Adams

I set the ol sky plus for these shows now it means you can fast forward past all the nonesense.....looks a class athlete that Jones but Jackson played right into his hands.....he needs to spend less time trying to perfect his cringeworthy scarey faces and be a bit more professional in what he,s doing.....getting in the ring then spending the next 10 minutes standing perfectly still pulling silly faces not only embarrasses himself but means all the work he,s just done in his changing room has gone to shit as he,s cooled down again,amazes me his trainers dont get on his case about it. Someone i know has recently spent just over 30 grand having them installed....he reckons in around 15 years time they will have paid for themself......by which time he will probably have either moved or be dead !!......some folk are so easily reeled in.

I couldnt really say about kick boxing but no,8 year olds would not be allowed to spar boxing,they will be taught to understand their own body as regards fitness,to deliver punches,hit a bag etc etc but no contact....and rightly so in my opinion.....as for what kids get up to away from the gym of course boys fight thats perfectly normal......but to put a kid in the position where he can end up crying and embarrass himself is not what fightings all about at that age.........i cant believe the fella on this thread who said they kept them going to see if the kid wanted to carry on ...jesus chris

Interesting subject this......im certainly no dogooder and without a doubt the media have certainly sensationalised and dramatised it to a high degree calling it barbaric and what not .....but i do think the whole thing is wrong for so many reasons...and i put most of the blame at the feet of those who organise and represent the sport......i like the sport i think its a good test and a good concept...but they have marketed it in such a bad way....i mean lets not forget this is the sport they have been selling to everybody as " the ultimate fighting challenge "....." no holds barred fighting "

Exactly 20 years ago to the night Michael Watson suffered his terrible injury against Eubank that nearly took his life. Last night i was privilidged to be at a tribute dinner in London for Michael....to say it was emotional is an understatement......there was a great turn out of boxing folk ......many of them rough tough fighters and ex fighters all with a tear in the eye !.....Michael spoke of his life since his accident in such a positive and sincere way it really was quite moving to hear.....he,s a very religious fella which isnt for everyone but you couldnt help but draw inspiration from

As for Paquiao/Mayweather......fight of this century yes but this century is only 11 years old it dont compare to Ali/Frazier and a good few others.....id like Paquiao to win but cant see it.

I was in Paphos earlier in the year a pal of mine has a bar called the Blazing Saddles in Coral Bay just outside the Horizon Resorts Hotel....if you can find it please put his windows in it will be the one with all the Chelsea flags in. Nice place,weather should still be bang on this time of year....if theres a group of you going surely Agia Napa would have been more your thing Paphos isnt exactly bustling with fanny.
