-
No thats fair enough i was only messing....Labtastic are you a Celtic or Rangers fan ?
-
Sorted now i think Millet....... Sorry to jump in on your thread Lee C...................................so with this in mind then would the aviary itself be best sited where there is constant noise the bird would get used to.....or a more quiet spot where there may be the occassional noise the bird wouldnt be used to ?
-
How did i get dragged into this.......i never claimed to be a supporter of a big club......but the fact you was sitting writing this at 2 o clock while i was at my little clubs ground watching football suggests im far happier with my club than you are with yours ......all apart from a big gutless dosey northerner that is ! As regards attendancies and who the best supported clubs are etc.......id like to see Rangers and Celtic fill their ground week in week out when theres another 4 or 5 far bigger more succesful clubs within a 6 or 7 mile radius.................we are small fish in a huge po

I see ok ..............what about in normal day to day life in the aviary will unusual noises or movements stress a bird
-
I agree with some of you chaps i cant see anything funny about constantly repeating the word " motherfucker " and just swearing for the sake it.......Jim Davidson or Bernard Manning were funny for the things they said regarding different races not just purely standing there having a sideways swipe like these blacks are.....for me a genuinely good comedian shouldnt need to keep swearing or be shocking and outrageous to get a laugh.

Its a fair point and of course its a debate that has gone on since the time treadmills came out.....for every plus theres a minus and all told i personally think it just comes down to personal preference for anyone apart from a competetive distance runner. As regards joint impact proper commercial grade treadmills have a cushioned layer beneath the belt ( the home ones out of Argos dont ).....this is essentially the difference between running outdoors in proper cushioned running shoes and running outdoors in a pair of plimsoles. The reason footballers coming back after an injury for instanc

What you mean as in trying to get the kitten ?......Will a bird get stressed by any sounds/movement around the aviary then.....or just particularly unusual ones ?

......Everyone has strong and weak parts...for me the strong parts were across the shoulders and chest inherited from the ol man but the weakness was legs mine used to look like they were put on upside down i was all calfs ....id love to have that attitude but im an obssessive person unfortunately... ive quit many times over the years but soon get the old itch......just started lifting again recently after some back trouble last year that i thought might put the final nail in the coffin..........thank god i havent got to resort to the golf clubs just yet !!

Theres no cafe it sounds more like the first one.....ive got pictures of it if i had half an idea how to post them i would !.....im just looking now,.....it looks like a big cornfield or something with a plot say 100 metres square with a house and a few barns, some beaten up old motors......im pretty sure the train line runs between the cliff and the house as you look down......its a pretty desperate looking gaff to be honest but everytime i pass it i have visions of what id do with it

Theres a little layby on the a1 just over the border a few miles south of Eyemouth Golf course, just about my favorite place in Britain....anytime i go to Scotland i make sure to go a1 rather than m6 just to spend a little time there its a great soul cleanser before the long drive home.....theres a little farmhouse at the bottom of the cliff ive had my eye on for years .......love or hate the Jocks you gotta admire their scenery !
-
Not to pick holes in your routine.....but chest and triceps together is a big no no....bench press being the basis to any chest workout is 70% triceps......by the time you get round to working them they are already fatigued from your chest workout....or if you do them first you,ll never exhaust your chest.....best to keep chest and tris apart.

Best post ive seen on here in a while .....and im certainly not someone who tends to stick up for blacks !
-
6 foot 5 ....jesus !!.....Id love to have been that tall might have been able to get my head out the way of a few punches ......Its very hard to get great size when your that tall you look at someone like Schwarzeneger who for me was the most perfect bodybuilder ever at 6 foot 2 he was seen as a really tall guy.....that feeling of great fitness even if only for a short while is certainly something we remember though i think any man remotely interested in fitness can remember the time they was at their physical peak. Bimey Max i think i better start being a little bit more polite to you ...

But how does he get it back home to the dinner table hire a jcb ? ......and we wonder why these little darkies are such good marathon runners !! Not to make light of it....great little clip that i could watch this sort of stuff for hours.....shameful really how much technology we rely on to achieve our goals when they rely on simple determination and understanding.......and a fair bit of endurance
-
Nearly pissed meself then .....just had a vision of a couple standing at the bar and the bird says " so tell me Jock what have you been doing today " Excellent pics Ideation.......had to check for mud under my fingernails to make sure i wasnt there ...with a bit of concentration it certainly felt like it.....good stuff.
-
Tomo its not about experience its mainly folk just like you who have given me the majority of any knowledge of training i might have..... people like you who walk into gyms every day discussing things and learning from each other that keeps me on the ball no major success i ever had....id be as well thanking you as i would be thanking Labtastic as thanking anyone else who use gyms and thats one of the things i love about the fitness game its very competetive, but in a very pleasant way

If you like mate......the only reason we are having this conversation is because of a laptop.....typing words, thats what you are doing thats what im doing.............thats what people do on an internet forum.....if you want something proven in the real world then your most welcome to come and have a natter and see if the shoe fits If not......the internet it is im afraid
-
No problem sir,i think its great when folk decide to get themself switched on to their own body and stop abusing it........your over the worst as for most folk the body is far stronger than the mind and its the mind that usually fails first......if your still keen after the first 3 months the mental test is passed......so good luck to you
-
 I remember them fuckers Tomo......if you didnt grease them up first you would have a 25k plate on either side and struggle like f**k pushing metal against metal !!......Todays machines are something else mate counter balanced, electrostatic coating, state of the art bearings......mind you at 10-15 grand a pop which the modern ones are,so they should be.
-
Rob stop being a prick if you have a view to add then add it.....if you dont then go and pick holes in some other c**t.........i tend not to get involved in debates i have no knowledge on or you just make a c**t of yourself trying to bullshit and front it out............your experience and knowledge of treadmills/outdoor running was you got puffed out for some reason !..........im sure we could all aspire to such a level of understanding.
-
Rob19058567385867563.............is this the little group of baddies ganging up on me again im not sure i can take it......i prefer to learn through doing something as the written word usually proves a very different story to reality......maybe you should try it. 1Wally......Its a very controversial subject of which theres many different views........similar to the machines/free weights debate in weightlifting and the pros and cons to both..........the forward motion thing is not strictly true.....the moving floor makes it easier on the joints as its essentially like getting a push in the
-
Theres a hundred and one reasons why running outside is harder than running a mill.....and forward motion isnt one of them. If you dont have to provide forward motion then try standing still on one and see where you end up !.......Its the same as a rowing machine being easier than rowing a boat....or a smiths machine being easier than lifting a barbell.......so many other forces come into play, adrenalin being one, small muscle groups that dont have to compensate for things like uneven ground/balance etc........basic fitness is one of the few subjects that technology has as many pitfalls as it

In my opinion these type of " get fit quick " claims actually do more harm than good to the fitness industry as a whole.....they overcomplicate what is basic common sense and often leave people disillusioned with fitness in general with their play on words......Having trained my body and several other folk to a peak of fitness for sporting events over 30 odd years, even dogs......i know for fact you will never get up off the sofa and reach a peak of fitness in 60 days like these ads claim.....many people try it out for a week going hell for leather, then either get an injury or need more recover

Who's ever done ya a good turn...........
gnasher16 replied to Irish Lurcher's topic in General Talk
Ive had a couple of very important " good turns " done over the years by very good friends for which my loyalty to them in return will never be in doubt...... As for the old " mistaking kindness for weakness " thing ive also been shafted on that score many times sadly and its not nice !.....Reading a few views of folk on here it amazes me the front some folk have......even on here there are people who will take kindness for weakness, only for the fact im a nice chap did i not make a bigger thing of it and instead went with the " you must need the money more than me " attitude........hopefully
