  1. As the yanks would say..............amen to that
  2. I know nothing about this breed......but its not difficult to see that looks a quality animal being raised in a fantastic environment...................you can almost see the look of contented anticipation of a great life ahead on that young dogs face..........................................lovely to see.
  3. And people wonder why 90 % of the greatest sporting dog in the history of canine existence...................................has become a useless lump of shit good for nothing but " being a nice pet "
  4. A stalker on the internet you can live with............its when they plot up outside your house or follow you around and you dont know who they are that its time to worry ...................theres some f****n oddballs out there thats for sure.
  5. Most genuine bodybuilders lifting for the right reasons absolutely detest the way folk seem to associate bodybuilders with doormen.......i find it embarrassing that anybody could think i have pushed myself to the physical limits and beyond on a regular basis, strived to gain knowledge etc etc over many years.......to go and stand in a poxy pub doorway earning a piddly tenner an hour acting the big man !..........unfortunately that is the cross some of us have to bear in pursuit of improving physical strength and fitness. I accept some folk have do this type of job and good luck to them i did i
  6. They make great pets if you take them away from what they know and were bred for you mean .....................use a dog for the qualities it was bred and you wont go far wrong.......if you want a great pet, look for a breed of dog with a reputation as great pets.....not a breed of dog bred for athletic performance in combat. The problem was never inexperienced owners, the problem has always been owners with a lack of common sense
  7. What a ridiculous pile of nonsense..........what a miserable life it would be if folk just settled for what they have and had no desire to improve........no point doing overtime when you already have enough money to live.....no point in promotion when you already have nice things.........no point breeding good dogs when the ones you have do the job......... So if a bunch of men are in an enclosed building minding their business, harming nobody and helping each other improve their strength and fitness gaining knowledge and sharing a hobby striving to improve.......................they are infer
  8. Not sure what " contentious " means......and who buttermilk is i dont know....... Im not presuming anything Mr Strongstuff as we all have our own understanding and experiences......but could it be your experience/understanding of bodybuilding is dictated by doormen ?......of which on a worldwide scale probably make up less than 1 per cent of bodybuilders. Maybe its not bodybuilders who are vain selfish self absorbed boring men..................but doormen who just happen to be bodybuilders ?...... Theres plenty of idiots who think working on a door is some kind of glamorous " im a tough guy
  9. Very interesting seeing how conversations of this nature always end up in a " im the biggest man " or " i know the biggest and strongest man " or " heres a picture of my 20 inch arms " mentality....... Regardless how far any of us take strength or fitness i believe its all about achievement within ourself and the personal success you take when matched into yourself its not about the man your standing next to.........we can all do the easy things in life but to make our mind up to do the stuff that hurts for no reward apart from personal achievement,to push against the barriers put in front of
  10. So if you dont believe in the boogeyman your pigheaded and ignorant ..........i dont buy any of it because common sense tells me its a load of ol bollocks that normally has a perfectly logical explannation........spose i could say anyone who believes in all that nonsense is a dick........but i wont say that because im not pigheaded or ignorant
  11. no no no im too shy to put my puney feeble little body on public display......anyway ive never quite cracked this posting pictures malarky its beyond my pc skills. Dont get too wrapped up in the serious stuff just enjoy lifting iron and feeling healthy for the time being.......if you get the bug for it your own curiosity will get you the info you need but too much info as a beginner often does more harm than good ive seen it a thousand times.....best of luck
  12. Not sure id agree with that.....personally i got big after being a doorman not before Depends whether a door needs a visual deterent or someone who can get the job done i spose.........most folk i know just want to get big and strong because its the most basic physical quality a man can have if your that way inclined......nothing too complicated about it in my opinion, waking up in the morning feeling strong and healthy is a great feeling, simple.
  13. Are you training at home ?.....If your going to a halfway decent gym you really shouldnt need to be asking these questions on the internet.........you will find far more knowledge in a decent gym than you will find on a hunting website and most lifters these days are very approachable.......dont be one of those quiet types in the gym who watches but doesnt speak,i always question their motives for being there And Socks....isnt that the same picture you posted a few years ago.....come on mate i bet you,ve come on a bundle since then Maybe we,ll have a cyber contest.....as long as my pict
  14. Cheers Malt ....its not what i was thinking it was.....thank god !.....didnt like to say but the disease i was thinking about is often not survivable into double figures, hence i asked your lads age........i think im right in saying the type of kidney stones your referring to will be suffered by something like 1 in 20,000 people......so although rare certainly not as rare as the other thing......best of luck to the little lad anyway.....and good on you for arming yourself with as much info as possible, its all we can do i guess.
  15. If you dont mind me asking Malt, how old is your lad ?.......i forget the name of that is it called Lysomal something or other........they used to call it the " cell recycling centre of the body ".......years ago i studied loads of this sort of stuff purely for my own interest they wasnt sure then if it was genetic or not i know they was in the process of doing enzyme replacement therapy i think that was supposed to stabilize defective enzymes or something but nowadays i think they see actual gene therapy as the way forward......... I know its rare and can be a serious condition so sorry if it
  16. Socks is absolutely right......not all excess protein will go to waste, some will be converted to glucose/energy.......some will be converted to ammonia/urea which is then pissed out. Anybody taking in large amounts of protein over a long period needs to keep in check with their kidney function.
  17. I was 42 Took that long to find fields and trees........
  18. The tools are out there to utilise every gram of protein yes ..................but for somebody training naturally which any beginner should be,your body will just throw away what it doesnt need......thats not an opinion thats just life......theoretically you could eat 50 chickens,50 eggs and neck 20 protein shakes taking on 1000 grams of protein per day.....if you think your body is going to use all that protein for muscle synthesis, your wrong.
  19. If i was going to Europe to bring sperm back it would have to be a very good dog i was getting it from.......to then give it to some cackhanded backstreet bureau just to save a few quid would completely defeat the object of doing it !
  20. I agree with much of what you say mate......but you cant argue with scientific evidence.............yes you can take in 200g protein in one meal but the majority of it is going to end up in the toilet !........thats not opinion thats basic human nutrition........nobody training naturally will benefit from 200g protein in 1 meal.....thats a fact. And ive had a little more than 5 minutes in the game
  21. Its a myth that seems to have hung around for years mate.......the theory used to be that later in the day ( rest time for want of a better word ) would result in the storage of every calorie you ate.......but the metabolic rate our body processes nutrients DOES NOT change throughout the day....eat carbs as late as you like, yes you will wake up heavier in the morning but thats due to the water content rather than the carb itself.......unless your a high level endurance athlete theres absolutely no reason to time your carbs
  22. Ive seen over the years you just cant take on an intermediate or advanced lifters mentality when your only a beginner.......the biggest downfall for most beginners is boredom.....they get far too hung up on diet and obssess over things an advanced lifter should be obssessing over.....and then when they dont see immediate results they get downhearted about it because they have done so much research on the finer parts of the sport without first concentrating on the basics...... You cant possibly be lifting to full intensity 5 times per week its physically impossible.......what that means is sub
  23. Dont forget every time you bench press its actually giving the triceps a far harder workout than the chest, even though its a chest exercise........best triceps exercise ive ever done is skullcrushers.....look it up or ask in your gym if your not familiar with it......biceps is a muscle specific exercise it doesnt get worked hard when working other body parts so you dont see immediate growth like with triceps. 5 times a week is too much for a beginner in my opinion......intensity is more important than frequency when your starting out. Good on you anyway hope you stick at it
  24. Whats that from the ,s ?......The general rule of thumb used to be 1.5 grams protein per lb bodyweight.........ie,a 200lb man would be needing 300 grams protein per day........however,keeping in mind the body can only assimilate 30 grams of protein in any 3 hour period........8 x 30 gram meals per day still leaves you short. A newcomer to lifting should simply eat a solid balanced diet and not get hung up on grams of protein.............
