    Now theres the thing i dont get Stig.......maybe they are all different i dont know......but this lad,every time i see him its as though he has only just met you for the first time....hence what i said about arm wrestling.....me being a bit of a big fat b*****d within 5 minutes of seeing him he always asks me for an arm wrestle....its as if he visualises the obvious about people and acts on it...........whenever he meets my wife he says your pretty can i have a kiss .........and he,s an absolute nightmare around darkies

    It depends what makes you tick i guess......winning at any cost regardless or pride in the club/area..............i still take as much pride from the players from the area and families of footballers this club produced as the team itself............The Ferdinands.....The Allens......The Lampard/Redknapp clan............right through to today with little Danny Potts,Moncurs boy even Rob Lees lad......i like the fact the club builds players here where many clubs the player builds the club. Think thats the first time ive ever been told i was lucky growing up here !!

    I think its something thats got to be tried..............as long as it stays at just goal line technology and not " was he offside ".........." did he dive " etc etc..........the games just so quick now its unrealistic to expect a ref/linesman to be able to see if a balls a fraction of an inch over the line.....................but then that could be said about offsides as well so its a tricky one.

    Over the years ive often tried to understand the whole downs syndrome thing.............i dont......and im not sure i want to simply because i really enjoy the relationship i have with this lad he just has an energy and honesty about him that i find infectious............every now and then he comes to the footie with us he loves it.......i try to steer clear of confrontation with folk at footie wherever possible.............but the amount of times i have to give other fans a " dont say a word " kind of look .......is something thats still a real shame in society...............you feel so prot

He was friendly to everybody he met, when he passed away there was probably two hundred people or more in and around the chapel at the funeral. He was known all around the county from a lifetime working on the refineries and other industrial sites and from connection with the local rugby club.     Id say the biggest influence over me was probably my old boxing manager......he saw good in me where nobody else did and left a lasting impression on me in my understanding of competetive spirit and dedication. A slightly less influential but equally important person was a Welsh prison officer i met in Wandsworth nick......he was a man of great strength and stature who made me believe in myself....he put faith and trust in me and i couldnt let him down at one of those junctions in life we all have where you could go one way or the other.........i havent seen him for a long time but i,ll alway

    the cover up in hillsborough went to the top so that in cludes the pm n the Queen so that involves them in football.plus the tax of the gate goes towards the lobster fund thought any eastender would have more sence ...............Ive never heard a prime minister making a football decision.........picking a team,tactics,substitutions..........nothing..............or is everyone who has ever used the word " football " in conversation involved in the game ! And i could be as daft as you and say somebody with " sense " should at least be able to spell it ................but i wont of course.

    Once again football will be the easy target for societies failures..............regardless what your political views are a prime minister has nothing to do with football they dont represent the country the queen does..............personally id respect any minutes silence,but its unrealistic and plain stupid to think everyone will on saturday.

    Well he is a West Ham fan so he cant be all bad.....spent about 4 years in our youth team if i remember right................ In all honesty i was probably being a bit of a dick moaning about our performance.........last April our away days were Barnsley and Bristol City

    I might be wrong but i seem to remember reading somewhere Hangerland thought Keane had dived for a penalty and was simply standing over him ranting about that.............ok he got it wrong and Keane was genuinely injured but that happens a hundred times a week i dont see it as " cowardly ".............whereas what Keane did was definately cowardly in my book............it could be said if it was just about revenge im sure he could of found him somewhere other than a football pitch.................I think Keane liked the hardman image,even though i dont think he was a particularly hard player

    Cant agree with that mate......if i remember right,did Keane not end Hangerlands career ?..........what was he getting revenge for Hangerland didnt touch him Keanes injury was an accident............so he stood over him big deal............" done what he thought he had to do "............it was a cheap and cowardly thing to do. Dont get me wrong i liked Keane as a player.....but as a man he comes across as an idiot.

    We,ve been in trouble on and off the pitch before.............and never had to resort to buying 7 foot Africans or lumping the ball up the pitch......we became a respected club because of our traditions not inspite of them !

    As we know the yanks like to do everything bigger and better................but never forget.....as much as people slag off our home grown sports stars,plenty of them are out there doing their bit for needy children....its just not so " in your face " as the yanks do it. I tip my hat to ANYONE who gives time/money to those less fortunate than themself.
