  1. With that in mind......if the dog had fought back with any kind of intensity do you think the cat would of had it away on its toes ?
  2. I was always under the impression that the reason a dog like a pit bull wouldnt survive in the wild was because of its instinct for combat and refusal to back down......nature being what it is i would of thought that any big cat that got into a tussle with something that fought back with any kind of intensity would use its survival skills and get the f**k out of there rather than stand and slug it out.....if not why dont they take on elephants or rhino,s etc
  3. That pink ones a mad looking thing got a bit of a designer look about it......its damn impressive to see the level of knowledge some of you chaps have on nature i never get bored of looking at this sort of stuff thanks for sharing
  4. Thats a great point......a mistake i often made when i first became interested in hunting was to compare hunting dogs to fighting dogs it took me a while to realise that one is nature and the other is a reversal of nature and they simply cant be compared.
  5. I have absolutely no idea what im looking at but these are some great pictures its fascinating to see the variation in these little creatures im curious to do a bit of research into them but i was under the impression that only serial killers kept moths and butterflies
  6. I wouldnt back a good pit bull strongly to do anything other than put up as much resistance as possible with the tools it has from generations of selective breeding to fight until it cant fight no more......you couldnt expect that of a Doberman or indeed any other dog so it stands to reason that a pit bull would be more capable in a fighting situation than a non fighting breed.....thats all.
  7. " could take " would be a silly presumption to make and im not about to get into a silly win/lose scenario.........but it would be common sense to assume that in a fight with a wild animal a purpose bred fighting dog would be more capable than a pet/guard dog................similarly to how it would be safe to assume that a pro boxer would be able to deal with a bigger heavier opponent in a street attack better than a night security officer could.
  8. Its a sign of the times thats all.....apart from guys like Ali or Ray Leonard most fighters would shy away from the cameras as they were not particularly bright and didnt come across well yet today " image " is important unfortunately......i hate all the silly " kick your ass motherfucker " nonsense they come out with but what Mcgregor says interests millions because he is a very charismatic kid who dares to speak directly from the heart he is an engaging character and that draws people to you. I think he is a very interesting guy with an interesting fighting style who is totally committed
  9. He is whatever weight he can make why would he fight at 155 if he can do 145 ...... if they were the same size men Diaz would make 145 as well.
  10. For about 10 minutes a few nights ago. To think size didnt play a big factor in that fight is naive thinking.......Mcgregor cant make it as an excuse though i like his confidence but it can never spill over into arrogance.......jumping 25 odd pounds up in weight is arrogant.
  11. He said he's not not fighting for the lightweight title. Said diaz should get the shot. Also Gnasher I'm not having a dig but do you still stand by mcgregors boxing is light-years ahead of diaz? Of course he is.....i only have a passing interest in mma and i dont know much at all about the backgrounds of these 2 fighters but my guess would be Mcgregor has boxed probably not at pro level but definately to a reasonable amateur standard whereas id be surprised if Diaz has ever boxed a competetive round.....obviously the way that relates to a mma fight is neither here nor there im simply making

  13. Did you actually watch the fight ?.....the first round was ridiculously one sided but Mcgregor clearly hasnt carried the power up through the divisions he was catching him at will but wasnt putting a dent in him and then got wobbled by the first hard shot he took.......its why their is weight divisions in fight sports you ignore them at your own risk and thats obviously where Mcgregors over confidence has got him. I've watched it twice and seen mcgregor loading up on his left hand leaning to his right and keeping his right hand low ok mate.

  15. From the little ive seen of this Mcgregor kid he has better pure boxing ability than virtually anyone ive seen in mma......those Diaz lads were always described as good boxers and i could never understand it they are light years away from Mcgregor in terms of foot speed, distance and timing......the level of striking ive seen has been extremely poor in that sport and although Diaz always seemed a tough scrappy kid i often wonder about fighters who are just basic tough guys they tend to develop a losers mentality......its one thing being bang up for a fight its another to truly believe you can w
  16. Should a really good driver not be able to adapt though ?.......could a top driver get away with saying im no good in the wet so i,ll just race on slicks thanks......be it conditions or car set up surely the best drivers adapt... no ?.......maybe im talking bollocks i dont know enough to have a strong opinion so you might be right.
  17. Not a bad shout that mate i could see a few of them being draws.....its coming up on sky bet at 45/1.....chuck City and Chelsea wins onto it and it comes out at 78/1.....heres hoping
  18. Why do people do this i,ll never understand it.......go to a great climate to get into local culture and cuisine in beautiful surroundings...................................but then do their best to re create all the squalor they went on holiday to get away from
  19. Its a fair point i suppose an individual sport we tend to see 1 face in victory and forget everything thats behind it........good point .....i often wonder if these drivers must crave the idea of a simple race of skill and ability without all the science and technology that go,s with Formula 1.......i have visions of them finishing a race and then all having it out on the old scalextric As regards the footie any side who batters that Warnock floats my boat !
  20. If you end up anywhere down the south west around July/August and you think you,ll have a day to kill drop me a message mate and we,ll have a meal and a natter about boxing etc......i have a little place just outside Paphos and a good friend has the Blazing Saddles bar just across the road from the Crown Horizon hotel......as regards board if it was me id go self catering get yourself out there and try different places i dont believe in all this going on holiday and trying to save the pennies with cheap beer and grub just treat yourselves
  21. I dont know much about Formula 1 i just have a fascination with fast cars......but do you not think a true test of driving skill that would create a far more interesting race would be for every car to be identical in terms of both performance and the way they are set up or is that simplifying it too much ?......ok i know the money generated from different teams creates different budgets etc but in terms of pure race driving i would imagine even go karting is probably more competetive.....no ?
  22. 2nd pic is a chaffinch cock Gnasher .. Thankyou mate. What a blindin thread this is you just dont realise the different array of birds that are around,so interesting. I just wish you,s would write what birds they are so that divs like me wouldnt have to keep saying " errr whats that one called mate "
  23. Without wishing to sound impolite Wilf.......you couldnt ......im no fan of mma i think its a far cry from what it started out as theres just too many rules now to be called a pure fight which it was billed as when it first started........but as much as we all think we could get in there and do this and that the truth is your average man off the street wouldnt last 2 minutes even with 10 weeks training behind him......you cannot do 10 years work in 10 weeks,it takes years and years to build world class stamina and punch resistance......your average man off the street would be out cold with th
  24. You seem like a couple of decent lads so i wont rub it in After all its only Tottenham !
  25. If a promoter doesnt have much faith in his fighter he,s not going to pay top money,simple.......why should a top 10 fighter who has a lot of time and money invested in him fight for peanuts......its not up to opponents to do favours of fighting on the cheap its up to Hennessy to dig deep which if he had complete faith in the lad he would do knowing he will get it back tenfold later on
