Reading/Watching something and then talking about it is normal human nature......holding strong opinions on something you know and understand next to nothing about to me is wrong....but you carry on.

I agree with that you see a lot of it on forums....people who believe they are educated because they read something,remember it and then repeat it........its a huge difference to actually having an in depth understanding of something.

I love this sort of stuff and have often been tempted to get some but its just hard to blend it into modern homes....my ol woman would go up the wall if i brought something like that home and putting in a shed or outhouse of some description just seems a waste.

I think it takes some courage to weigh up the person/kid in front of you and make that decision....the easy choice is to bat it away and let someone else deal with it but you sound similar to my mindset of " theres a good lad here " .....tell him the truth and let the chips fall where they may,or let social services get their claws into him....thankfully i judged his character rightly and knew he could take what i told him....as things stand im pretty sure i can trust this 23 year old boy with my life....generational growth.
