The straight Nelis/Tug stuff wasnt too bad although Smuggler done his owners 2 year old daughter as i remember and Neilson was a horrible b*****d but it was mainly the stuff crossed with Mayfield blood for some reason little Fenner tagged me a couple of times neither time anything too serious but he wanted it to be.

Indeed it was mate yes....i loved the line from a breeding and sporting perspective,but those big black nostrils and piercing little orange eyes still give me the f****n horrors !

Oh i get it now you are " one of them " Tyson Fury fans? If theres one thing ive learned talking boxing with folk over the years its that as a fan of boxing you can never have a sensible discussion with a fan of a boxer. The stats are there.....observe them or dont its up to you.

What gives me shivers is the fact that dog not only sired some very good sporting dogs but also sired dogs that went into family pet homes.....even though the whole line was renowned for being manny ! Dont get me wrong theres good knowledgeable folk that have and do keep the breed as pets without issues....but its a needless risk in my opinion.

Thats terrible....shame..... had a few encounters myself,microsurgery on my hand,few bits of stitches on arms and legs usually been my own fault but was also present at a very nasty incident involving a well known sporting dog back years ago when someone got badly hurt there was 3 of us who could literally do nothing the dog just kept coming at all of us,sadly the chap took some life changing injuries.......yep,rough dogs mate.

I always said a dog bites hard because it wants to bite hard size doesnt really come into it in my opinion.......with a 140 lb half hearted Rottweiller attached to my arm id still feel i had half a chance,with a 32 lb intense focused pit bull attached to my arm id have no chance.....i agree some dogs are just not suited to indoor family life.

You didnt answer my question so i'll answer it for you.......Fury and Wilder have been professional boxers nearly 16 years and Klitschko aside the only top ranked world class opponents they have fought are each other. Joshua fought top 10 opponents his resume is far superior to any other active heavyweight its as simple as that.

Whether its dogs from home or abroad dog rescues are not places with a dogs best interest at heart any more they are sales centres plain and simple.....deranged little old women wanting you to pay for their hobby mostly. Im sure theres some genuine rescues about but few and far between id say.

I dont know about the other breeds but i always feel sorry for Apbt's put in the pressurised day to day constraints of household,family pet dog life its not fair all ways round.

Im no marble sculptor mate ive no idea if its good,bad or indifferent but as someone mentioned earlier to have it in a public cemetery feet away from where others might want to sit in quiet reflection......nah not for me that....on a private traveller site or whatever yeah fill your boots but imagine having Stormzy music and a load of hand carved African sculptures alongside your nearest and dearest. Anyway.....if im still kicking around when you snuff it mate i,ll be personally shoving you next to the Lawrence family plot alongside some nice marble sculptured Nigerian traffic wardens ?

Im as big an advocate for the breed as you will find but as a general rule of thumb a pure,purpose bred Apbt makes for a terrible household family pet dog.

Had a few winners and a lot of losers came away fractionally in front.
