We get trees falling on our over head line on the railway quite a bit, storm Henk was interesting we got an isolation and a line blockage and cleared a tree and then juiced up and another five burst into flames you have got to hear it and see it to get a real appreciation of it, 25000 AC is not to be underestimated at all.

I’ve got a 2000 watt Titan mains chainsaw from Screwfix you wouldn’t believe the amount of wood I’ve cut up with it from pallets to tree trunks it still keeps on going only £54 when it dies I will be getting a petrol stihl

I must admit I like a good wander around a graveyard here is a couple of pictures I took of Sennen grave yard which is a mile or so before Lands End looking at the war memorial shows how the war was felt all over the UK and world, well worth stopping if your down that way a real feeling of calmness walking about.

I’ve got a .17 Varmint barrel 452 I’ve owned it for a very long while from brand new, about once a season I clean the barrel with a bore snake and immerse in a good gun cleaner, where you will find an abundance of soot and crap is in the silencer if you use one, you will find after cleaning zero will be all over the place it takes about 10 rounds to settle down to where it was I also only use Remington people say it makes no difference on personal experience I disagree, clean and lubricate the bolt and trigger regular and it shouldn’t give you any bother they don’t need a lot of cleaning I def

Out for a couple of hours this afternoon chilly but not that bad did not see one rabbit which is rare, but see a couple of foxes together one scarpered when it see me and the other stopped and sat within 50 yards of me, also a big Harris hawk was doing the rounds did not see one person just how I like it.

A good mate of mine is quite high up in a lodge about 10 minutes from where I live he regularly says he will vouch for me to join just what we are looking for he says, he’s another one who has aspirations to be a Knights Templar he went through a big deal the other week some sort of tap on the shoulder thing I don’t get it but he seems to really get a lot out of it, myself never been one for joining any sorts of groups.

Has any one used the services of Medi-Cert were they any good how long did it take and would you recommend, I have just heard from my firearms department that renewals are being sent out 18 weeks before expiry so my renewals should land on my mat mid February. This is the first time I’ve had to supply all this medical history so a bit of an unknown for me, thanks in advance for any insights.

I’ve visited Masaya Volcano in Nicaragua and the viewing time at the crater is very limited due to fumes and unpredictable nature of the place, apparently a week before I was there a big lump of lava spewed out and landed on top of a tourist bus fortunately empty at the time burnt it to a crisp, while I was there all I wanted to do was sacrifice a goat by lobbing it into the crater my wife told me not to be so silly lol…. Normally when I’m down that way I make sure I’ve got at least X2 5 gallon barrels with me to fill up, good stuff and an interesting place to visit not many places and people like Roger about these days.

Glad you enjoyed it mate week before Christmas I spent a week in Costa Teguise in Lanzarote as you say decent climate and people just getting on with enjoying life, it was even warm enough for a swim in the sea you’ve just got to get away from this place sometimes it drags you down with the shit weather and never ending bad news in the media.

To be fair the trousers are top notch but the jacket isn’t all that but it’s cheap enough to tear through brush etc and get covered in all sorts of crap I wouldn’t say it was that waterproof.

I think I’ve got that same Barbour Endurance amazing coat as you say never ever been cold or wet in it 20 plus years and it is still in perfect condition I love it, I remember standing on the back of the hunt truck we was collecting hounds and I had about 2/3 inches of snow all over it I didn’t feel a thing, shame you lost it Wilf as you say they don’t make them anymore.
