Would you reccomend shar pei as a guard? How bad is their dog aggression? im restricted on what breeds of dog that im allowed to keep due to my tenancy agreement... In other words most breeds of bullterrier and guarding breeds are banned... Exception to that is the mali but they are quite high maintanence I personaly would reccomend a Shar-pei because the one i had was exceptional with other dogs but i have seen some that will not tolerate other dogs at all very aggresive indeed, but you get that type of dog in most breeds its how you bring them up that counts, just my opinion.

Had this situation happen a few years ago i was out and my teenage son was alone in the back yard with our Shar-pei an idiot jumped on the fence the dog latched onto his leg started ragging it whilst my son was smashing the bloke with a metal dog lead wasnt his day, Shar-pei awesome guard dog they are verging on obsessive when it comes to being territorial.

Very nice i dont make that much as i dont have the apples but i let it ferment natuarally rack it off a few times from my pressure barrels then i bottle it all very satisfying, i get about 6% to 7% abv have used camden tablets in the past but left them out this time i make about 10 to 15 gallons i make wine as well you do notice that when you make these drinks everyone wants a bit of the action .
-
How many gallons did you make and are you going to let them ferment naturally its bloody hard work i know that much good luck with it

I fitted one on my CZ452 and a big difference i think standard trigger is a 5 pound pull and with the kit i could have gone down to 2 but i settled for 3 pound when i take my shot i only use the tip of my finger and i dont look up from the scope until i see the quarry go down' go for it excellent modification.

Started my first batch of cider
FLATTOP replied to JohnGalway's topic in Living Off The Land & Game Cooking
I make cider but i pulp my apples and then press them the hardest bit is the pulping or scratting as it is known i have just sourced a garden shredder for this and i have a vigo press' when you get your juice you can take a chance and let the natural yeast in the apples start the fermentation process or get a good cider yeast or champagne yeast to get it going' before its fermented is the time to take your alcohol reading with a hydrometer few tips cleanliness keep the brew airtight or you end up with vinegar and patience'one more thing if it starts smelling of rotten eggs this is normal and g -
