My favourite jacket I've had the best part of ten years and still looks good is my Barbour endurance it's not the wax type I've never been cold or wet in it. I also own a Belstaff Trialmaster jacket in antique gold colour because I thought Charly Boorman looked cool in it in long way down I wear it occasionally when I go out on my Motorcycle but if I was honest I don't really like it. Boots I have a pair of Barbours and a pair of Ben Sherman's but my favourites are a pair of wranglers I bought years ago. The thought of spending £180 on a pair of Levi's would break my heart , I
  3. Cheers Arry it was fantastic other customers faces when we rocked up with a 40 pound tuna in our hands was a picture a great experience and a meal to remember.

  6. Nice one Mole trapper good effort how was the new pulper 100 gallon that's a lot of Cider. I have been on holiday the last couple of weeks fishing in Mexico and the sites totally revamped its seems to have broken a few hearts on the general forum lol.
  7. Thanks I will look him up I was looking at a Dabinett and a Herefordshire Redstreak for Cider purposes only thanks again on the sizing info.
  8. Makes my operation look small fry you've got some graft to come there but upgrading your equipment will make it much easier. I done exactly the same Sunday night chimnea BBQ Cider in the garden, are the trees expensive I might sacrifice some of the large bushes in my garden and replace with a couple of good trees.
  9. Would never have guessed that was a fig my first thoughts was passion fruit.
  10. I've not tried this but I'm going to give it a go for a tenner and the reviews it gets it's gotta be done and also fever tree all the way. http://www.independent.co.uk/life-style/food-and-drink/aldi-gin-best-world-spirit-10-cost-cheap-international-wine-spirits-competitions-awards-a7864211.html

  16. It's only a 9 litre one and it's well and truly paid for itself I have anchor bolted it to my patio and use a scaffold pole to squeeze every last drop out keeps me fit lol. Always keeping my eye open for a cross beam one but I like a bargain one will pop up eventually.
  17. Pressed the Pear pulp today got just about ten pints, it tasted and smelt good enough to eat here's a couple of pics. Mole trapper sorry for Hijacking your scratter thread but there seems to be no dedicated Cider thread this year anybody else making any or did you all die from alcoholism last year ??
  18. Well had a busy day today 9 Gallons of Cider OG of 1055 not bad I suppose and I've got a bucket of Pear pulp which I'm going to press tomorrow about a gallon I read it's good practice to leave it 24 hours to let it oxidise and it aids it when clearing apparently. 8am this morning just starting. All chopped ready for the production line lol. Tree shredder does the business yet again. The juice pressed now to make the magic happen. Will stick a pic of the perry up tomorrow to compare with the Cider.
  19. Sounds like a great retirement plan best of luck with it. I've never pulped pears before I did hear it was a different ball game to apples I'm gonna pulp and press that little lot on Tuesday.
  20. I use this Bosch tree shredder that's never seen a tree I think there about £180 from B&Q I picked it up for £30 on gumtree works a treat. I've used the blade that connects to a drill in a bucket pulp master in my opinion back breaking and dangerous sitting in the garage never to be used again. Mole trapper your cider looks fantastic real nice quality looking stuff, I think your allowed to produce and sell up to 7000 litres before Customs & Excise want a slice. I think if upped my game and had a good supply of apples the Vigo electric pulper is the way to go. Any b

  24. Always used to go Brick lane on a Sunday Blackmans has been there for donkeys years, I remember Club Row when they used to sell the pups and other animals and I recall people fighting with the animal liberation people mad times. Another great memory was the Bird cage pub I went in there often as a small boy with my Grandad and he sold finches what he used to trap on the Mudchute on the Isle of Dogs there was a whole wall of the pub full of cages. Who remembers the National Front and Combat 18 who used to stand on the corner where the Army & Navy was, always used to have a good chat
