dee mac. we will have to agree to disagree. to many messers with black dogs. .they keep them . becouse they is black. and i agree the intelligent little russells from yesteryear are few and far between working mongrels. and none the worse for it. there is one or two good lads with blacks around me allso to be fair :laugh: . sorry for the hijack lads and i would also like to see a pic of turbo or troy.

i couldnt agree less. there is as much shite produced from black/red / choc/ patts . as any other breed. if not more. the blacks had a really good name when i was younger. they had a name for early entering. this they did and in fine style. what wasnt noticed was the fact a large percentage walked off early you could see these one or two season wonders winning shows up and down the country . and getting used at stud to all and sundry . there are some very good blacks patts. and folk that keep and breed them for the right reasons. but the bulk of your beloved breed are bred for the big n

i was at six for a while. five terriers and a lurcher, i'm down to three as my kids have claimed two and one is retired. so ive only a couple to find work for.

i bought a dog off a fella many years ago that had one in a glass case. a really nice specimen .. turned out a good dog as well

checked their mouths they are fine. but defo underwieght the jill is like a polar bear . they are all kept seperate. an old fella local to me had a look at em and said they look fine to him. they are up and about themselves fine. but i see they have lost flesh . he suggested worming them. i think i will take a trip to the vets . cheers

the majority of work bred terriers will make decent ratters fella. ive russells and plummers.. they both do well as all round pesters. swings and roundabouts really. if i was to buy a terrier specifically for ratting i would get a plummer . -
