  1. it matters. so take it one step farther. the best bitch to work is also undershot. do you breed them or go for second best. there are plenty good sound dogs that work well. but if we use undershot terriers it wont be long before there will be very few with a good bite. its easy to justify breeding bad mouths. but breeding good sound terriers for future generations is a little more difficult. it doesnt have to be either or. as you can have both.
  2. walked in on the mate yesterday with the trollop down the roads legs rapped around his neck. just a thought.......do you think his wife done this to him.

  5. another pic. to me the first cross is a great animal if you want a robust dog. and if you desire a faster beast. a very good starting point for future plans.
  6. TERRIER WHIPPET. just under 60 pound and 23 inch tts. a cracking ferretting general moocher. seems to bounce back from some nasty knocks with little or no damage. touch wood. ps. some nice workman like dogs on this thread. makes a nice change from the diluted whippets /greyhounds that are paraded as lurchers
  7. what about the mesh tubes . would they not do the job for you mate. or fens. just a thought. they wont be that visible now the cover is getting up a bit
  8. the best beddy crosses ive seen have been greyhound crosses. or had a good dash of greyhound in the mix. beddie whippets are far to limited by there size. great little pot fillers / ferretting dogs. ive seen a lot of crosses and owned and worked my own. so feel able to comment. mine sung like a linty but was a real handy dog dispite that. a little first cross. and to me they are like whippets only slower. i do like whippet crosses but the newer dont have the substance or heart of the older dogs. probably down to the lack of quality working stud beddies. i'll resist the temptation to put pics
  9. just watched it. AWESOME. and what a stunning looking woman. dont think subo would have carried it off just as well. know what i'm saying
  10. Cheers Kay. i dont need to watch it now
  11. its time you lads got this sorted. all the real deal lads would be in it. so they can feel superier
  12. the practice used to be the centre of the VISIBLE, mass. so the point of impact would depend on the shape the target was taking. and a killing shot was not always the object. as in a war situation one wounded solder would make a bigger impact on the enemy than a dead one. it seems that some on here are not only the oricle on everything hunting but also on best practices on anti terrorism and would have done a better job. i recon a lot of the blow hards would have turned to jelly in the position of that wpc. its easy to have a go at them from an armchair. but remember it would be a whole lot e
  13. its also worth remembering that where there was coursing there was allways a good population of hares.
  14. in organised hunting the land was managed to encourage wildlife (hares) where keepered. and then there would be beaters set up to drive hares toward the coursing fields. unorganised coursing you would just tend to walk up hares with your dogs hope this goes some way to answer
  15. i for one think they done a sterling job. both down and two terrorists to chat to who after a few pain killers may sing like canaries. well done especially to the wpc. a brave young woman
  16. its a real worry now. and beginning to get so in your face that you have to sit up and take a good long look at whats happening around us. i allways try to avoid any rascist crap. but i also want to look after my family. and self preservation is a very strong instinct i for one am also becoming very uncomfortable with this and will use my vote carefully. untill then folks use your common sense stay calm and be vigilant. feeling are running high and no good will come from knee jerk reactions. i bet if they could turn the clocks back they would have said. no helmet no motorbike. your in our co

  21. bit on the hard side? Hahahaha you didn't bite . . . . bit like those terriers how long do you recon a hard terrier would last in that area. or a stay till dug sort. you're right of course CS - wouldn't last very long. And with a barbecue and booze waiting back at base, who'd want to be on a 2.5+ excavation?? as a terrierman in Ireland said to me about rocks "you need a wanker terrier that can dance like a cat " by the way CS there's a PM waitng for you on Moochers mate! and i have just the dog. .
