  8. thats fine for small area's of cover. but in large area's of cover. surely you would just drive your quarry deeper in. ?

    Red Kites

i was putting a farm shed up near Dingwall. north of the border. there is a red kite program there also. they have a feeding station, nice to see em soaring above your head whilst putting the roof on
  14. keep at it early bird. good camera the D90.
  15. think i'll get one. could have its bonuses
  16. ive had a couple of hancock dogs both came as young adults. both could work as good as most lurchers. neither picked there runs. both exelled on other stuff preban. they where hardy dogs and could take a knock. they where three eighths five eighths. border/beardie. they where twentyseven inch tts. the only downside was they would have needed an extra gear for hare . thats if you gave fair law. but would take the odd one if they put em up. i would try another if i came across one but wouldnt go to the kennels for it.
  17. blane. wait till you are settled and once you know what the grounds like and what quarry is plentyfull this will help you decide what type of lurcher will suit you. i would also recomend purdy's progress as a first rate training aid. and read as much as you can. if nothing else it will keep you interested. good luck fella.
  18. What was the bull/lakey comment meaning on the other thread pal? just pulling your leg mate
  19. i'm hopeing i have one lurcher left in me. and i will be looking at a collie cross to take over from old ozzy in the future it wont have to be a merle but i do like them and although ive owned a few collie greyhounds ive never been owned by a merle. so who knows. some very nice animals on this thread.
