he is bold as brass. he gets on fine with the dogs. they arnt as forthcoming though as he is a bit in your face. he is winning them round one at a time. out with my boys little jr.

a wee update for ya forest. Max is around twelve weeks and growing well. he is an aggressive little twat. .he is bright with a sharp nature and turning into a likable sort. he is starting to use his nose now. will update at a later date

more than likely s parkin. ive had a few of his terriers. they have all been decent enough fox dogs. but they dont all come small. . i agree that breeding smaller workers is difficult. and a lot of big terriers that are raved about are just bullies that get found out once they are up against it. or when you breed down in size the offspring arnt up to the standard of the stronger sort. . but it has to be remembered that weak terriers are not generally up to much either. shouldnt we be breeding for something inbetween the two. and passing on the smaller or oversized to folk that they suit. bre

they where all border lakies when i got interested in terriers. in lancashire anyway. most genuine border lakies these days would be very different. as for classes in shows. the crossbreds have been pushed out by the poorer quality show lakies.

post traumatic stress disorder is exactly what it says. it is real and folk do need help to control it. it beggers belief how many folk are so judgemental. its not just a soldiers illness it is brought about by traumatic incidents that change you in a very short space of time. not allowing time for the mind to adjust or take stock. mental trauma is just as real as physical trauma. the only difference is you can see physical trauma. a cracked head or bone sticking out of a leg can be seen and easily evaluated a broken mind cannot . therefore in some folks ideal and simplistic worlds if it cant

i started off working rats and rabbits. i then graduated to fox below. this took hold of me for a long spell. driving and walking many miles at a fast pace. going from hole to hole. bragging rights came into this. having a good earthdog and plenty of work for it was so important that every waking hour was spent breeding training and entering the terriers hunting days were planned ahead. in military style. and plenty of work was put in front of the dogs. it was an interesting time. but as time went on it started to get a little same old same old. and my interests in other types of countrysports

the problem with open discusion is that everyone chips in with the ten peneth . this just muddies the water and before long it runs off at a tangent. the issue is folk using the title (working) as a selling point for dogs that often are not up to it. if i was looking for a border terrier for the job of bolting foxes. i would look for the title (working) before the word border. i wouldnt expect dogs bred to rat and rabbit to be sold under this title. i would expect dogs bred for the job below ground. i agree that all dogs that work are working dogs but the tasks are so different that th -
