  3. a good jr. will do all these things. from what ive seen a jagd would also but can you be sure it will be small enough for underground fox?. patts will also do most of what you want but tend to be hard. and quieter workers. crossbreds are generally an unknown quantity, and its a waiting game to see what you have. if you can be sure of a handy sized jagd then that would be my choice. after a good well bred russell of course

  12. nice pup . and good luck bringing it on.
  13. i agree. it could of been made an undesirable point. in the same way prick ears are undesirable . knee jerk reaction to try and keep to type and produce terriers to standard as fast as possible without a thought as to what else was getting removed along with the colour.
  14. why not bother. if the parents are working and it works. it would help the genepool of workers. it will throw to type. so thats not an issue. a breed standard is a guidline. sticking rigidly to these lines mean breeding specifically for looks . as for whippets or any breed. go to a few kc shows with breeds that have decades of show shite. and you will see they still throw away from the holy grail ( standard). ive yet to see a perfect specimen . if the rough whippet was faster than a smooth one then it should be bred from. to improve on what they are good at. . i dont understand this train of t

  16. ptcogb there are lots of open shows also run by the plummer terrier club of great britain. . and if he gets a working home. he can grace the odd working show. i'd of took him in a heartbeat. its just bad timing for me. i like the look of him.
  17. as far as i know (i may be wrong) but cant he be registered with the plummer terrier club of great britain.. i dont think they are colour blind.. . not that it matters in the grand scheme of things . i agree with vosey he looks well pissed off.
