  2. Right chaps time up. Well done to both of the last two bidders. But the winner is Haymin with a fantastic bid of £70. I cannot thank you both enough for your generosity. TC

  6. At a guess, I would say that it had been leaked to the press by an anti insider. Once the cat was out of the bag DEFRA had no other option but to confirm? Just a guess though. TC
  7. I very much agree with that sentiment but there is a school of thought that says "why would you put your kids in that position or subject them to such conditions?" As much as I disagree with the crisis of unchecked immigration, I am able to see it from their side as well. I can visualise myself in their position and I would do what it takes to get my family a better life. The problem is these people are so desperate they will do anything to escape the tyranny in their own country. Now whether that is for economic purposes or simply because they think other countries are soft touches I could n

  11. A gun is just a tool, same as a car, hammer, screwdriver etc etc. All can be lethal in the wrong hands. You will never be able to legislate against any tool that can be used as a weapon. It's the same as the stupid knife laws they have brought out in this country, a total waste of money and time and has not decreased knife crime one iota. The draconian gun laws we live with does not stop gun crime, yet the morons who make these laws as vote winning "ideals" actually do not give a toss, but it looks good on their CV that they voted against guns. Though the media gun ownership has made a nor
  12. I have not read the specs of the camera, but With most fuji they have a sports mode which speeds up the shutter speed to allow taking of action shots. It is a bridge camera and as such it has limitations but for the price you will not get better. TC
  13. For that price I would bite their hands off. I had a hold of one in a boot sale a couple of months ago, hell of a zoom on it. The chap wanted £150 for it. http://www.photographyblog.com/reviews_fujifilm_finepix_s6500fd.php TC

It depends on the twine most spun poly's are fine with j

  20. Yes both end at 9pm on the 28th, sorry if I did not make that clear. TC
  21. It's up to you if you put a selvedge on the net, but, if you don't the net will not sit properly on the lines. When a net is hand knitted it is knitted length ways, and to a certain extent it retains a memory of how it was knitted as the knots are lying horizontal so the net wants to stretch out the way it was knitted. When adding selvedges you knit into the net vertical knots which because the twine is usually heavier helps stop the net wanting to stretch out horizontally. TC
