That seems to be the problem with the tinternet, advice is freely available, but, the advice given is only applicable to the giver. Every person is different what some people like others hate. That is not to say that both their ways are right or wrong. The only way you will find out what suits you is trying something new. As Mr Goodcats states try it, you might like it, and the weight issue is no problem to yourself. The best advice I could give anyone regarding long netting is, if you have an idea, run with it. I have over the years tried many an idea that has not worked as I wished. But

I made one rigged by a third, that is the net was one third of the sretched length of the netting, a 50 yarder as an experement so I suppose it was 150%. To be honest I used it once and it caught every rabbit that hit it, but there again so did the nets set by halves that day. They are good, without a shadow of a doubt. But are they worth the extra hassle of cleaning and (which worried me the most) the extra weight? I do have some 5 yrd stop nets that are rigged that way and even with that amount of slack I have still lost the odd rabbit from them, usually going through the meshes. TC

I like the way people of all nations have got behind the British and Irish lions on here. Some of the vitriol towards other nations players on other sites has to be seen to be believed. On this thread you will have opposing views but at least the gerenral aim is the quality of the player as opposed to his nationality. TC

Yep, to be honest i'm fed up already. On a plus note the owner of the land I was on contacted me earlier to see if could get him two young jills for his young son who tagged along with me yesterday. So it sounds like his son had a great time yesterday and wants to take up ferreting. It's always great to see the youngsters taking a keen interest. He probably wont stop you from going but the son will hit it hard, It does happen, it's happend to me a couple of times over the years. TC

With a snipe bid you put in your max and it will bid in the last second for you. Always bid your max and as late as you can. then if your out bid, someone wanted it more than you did, nothing you can do about that. TC

I may be wrong but it does not like an Orchid to me, it has the wrong shaped leaves. Orchid leaves are very much like Hosta leaves. TC

There were a few that really put their hands up today. Tom youngs, Jamie Roberts (as long as his ankle is ok)1/2p, Foxy and Heislip all done their cause a power of good. On the other hand some of the front row replacments were woeful, Hibbard especially. TC

have you had a bad experience TC ? When I was a kid nearly every farm that had cattle had a bloody corgi to work them, they would run in behind the cattle and nip their heels, before the cow could kick back they would lay flat to the floor and the cows kick would sail over their head. Every one of them Pembrokes and Cardi's would have your heel and would be impossible to kick, B*****d things, would not trust them as far as I could thow one. TC

I think it is an old fishing net and does the job nicely and yes them rabbits have a healthy sheen about them If thats my old net Terry, it is and it does. If I remember correctly it's 4z 4" mesh only 13 meshes deep? I still have another 100 or so yards of it here. TC

The problem is that the reds apart the lions have had no opposition. That said what these games have shown is which players are team players. There are a few that even through these joking matches have shown a comitment to the lions ethos, and to be honest I would pick them first above the glory boys. TC

Phillips and Sexton could work, infact could work well. Mikes abrasive style and darting runs could give Sexton a bit of space? TC

Watched the whole game, Was not impressed with a few of the players in the second half, wondering why he did not pull off BOD after he hurt his leg? To be honest I don't think Sam will make the first test, there will be issues with his knee or some sort of injury to stop him playing, as captain he cannot just not pick him. He should have been playing to day to get his fitness levels up. I will stick my kneck out and say Tupric @7 and SOB @ 6 for the first test. TC
