It is a piece of wood, shaped like a U with a handle at the bottom of the U and at the top of the U there are two bands tied to the top of the forks one band on each fork. Oh and at the other end of the bands there is a leather pouch made out of an old pair of the wife's boots.
I believe the elastics are called TBG.
Happy now?

I am 60 years old this year, if you think I give a flying fig what nom de plumes off an internet forum think of me, then you are barking up the wrong tree Mr.
TC
Are you sure about that?

If you do shoot one, get some photos up of some of your kills or even a video of you shooting some targets.
What bands do you shoot? What frame do you have? What's your favourite ammo? A photo of your catty would be good. It'd be better to do that first and show people that you know what you're talking about before you try to correct them.
Some of your comments have given me the impression that you didn't shoot. I'd b happy for you to correct me. If you do shoot, your comments with regards to the level of accuracy that you expect suggest that you are a very
No one is saying that they are perfect. The only people moaning are the catapult shooters. What people are saying, is that when something does not work out as it should, they are not stupid enough to post it in the internet.
There is a big thread pinned in the general section read it. The RSPCA want to charge him with hunting rabbits with his dogs. They would have a field day with someone who states that they have injured a wild animal.
Here is a copy of the general licence for England. Read it.

And there in that last sentence lays the crux of the matter. What the eye don't see the heart does not grieve over. Just ask all the warriors on face book that have had a pull over posting stuff that should have been kept quiet. The poster is just a kid, but it could be a hard lesson to learn being hauled into court.
You can do what you like, but if you are going to post about it, just make sure it's legal for your own sake.

totally illegal by the sounds of it,
All birds are protected, but, under the general licence some birds can be shot, if they are causing a health hazard or damage to crops. There are exceptions as with game birds and wildfowl in season.

The only chicken manure I have used is the pelleted form, that was dug in well prior to planting. Some say it is too strong to be used fresh and should be composted for at least a year. That said, the local chicken farm when emptying the sheds would spread it straight on the fields and has done for years.
I would say go ahead it is mixed with straw after all.

There's a complete fish feeding frenzy, with the pelicans chasing them along the shoreline....
What do they do....... Throw stones at the pelicans Ffs..... Retards...
I like it though....... Lol
Should have been a nice short stout throwing stick. You would have have a much better chance of hitting something then.
Bob.
What do pelicans eat? Why do you think they were all on the shore in a feeding frenzy?

Jonny Thats how I started off, ended up with two big allotments.
If I could give anyone a tip about container gardening is get the water as near as to the air temperature as you can for watering the plants. Cold tap water checks the plants.

Never had an onion bolt when grown from seed. The problem with sets is that they are grown then stopped by pulling them and drying them. The problem is as it is biannual plant it thinks it has done the first years growing so is ready to set seed.
They say that heat treating them kills the flower bud in the set, but it is never 100% effective. Another factor with the Dutch sets is that they are grown on the same soil year in year out, and you lose some to white rot that the sets have already caught when lifted. In turn that gives your soil white rot.
TC
I gave up using onion sets years ago as they always bolted on me. If you nip the flower stalk off and use them ASAP they are still all right to use straight away.
