  1. There is a video of three rabbits in one net, if I can find it I will put a link up. TC
  2. Thats priceless, asking an Irishman for his opine on a Shovel . Thats not a problem, the problem starts when you put two different types of shovels and ask him to take his pick. I'll get me coat. TC
  3. Thats what it is all about, enjoying yourself. Some of the disasters I have had would make anyone blush. But they make the successes all the sweeter. If I can get carrots to maturity, I am over the moon, simple pleasures that give a lot. TC
  4. Are these bokher? Not good quality as shot through glass. TC
  5. There is a simple to avoid confusion just measure a net in rigged yards, that way no matter how it is rigged you will always have the finished length of the net. TC
  6. 4z for sheet netting and double stranded 20/6 spun polyester for my hand made nets. TC
  7. Another dig Gnash? I take it you have never been in a situation where you are totally out of control of what happens to you? Just a guess I may be wrong? When you are in that situation and you have no control, survival instinct does not come into it. What could I a 15 year old child being tumbled around under railway trucks do to change the situation I was in, in order to survive? You remind me of Dylan Thomas, Do not go gentle into that good night, Old age should burn and rage at close of day; Rage, rage against the dying of the light. Though wise men at their end know dark is
  8. What a load of baloney. They tell you that 6 people out of every 1000 could be at risk of getting cancer through passive smoking. What they omit to tell you is that those 6 people would be at risk for other reasons other than passive smoking anyway. TC I dont get that Tc........what would those other 6 people be at risk from ?......if its not something specific ( like passive smoking ) then its a bit of a silly statement to just say "something else " wouldnt you agree ?.......or have i read that wrong. Gnash recent findings have shown that about one in ten people are genetically
  9. I smoke and enjoy smoking, no matter the consequences. I doubt that I will ever give up, and if it kills me then so be it. I have to die sometime so a few years difference here or there makes no odds. I can honestly say "I do wish I had never started" but I did, so have to live with the outcome. You all sound as if you are desperate to live as long as you can, old age is no bed or roses I can assure you. Your body is not designed to live that long and it starts breaking down. Organs do not work as they should because they are well past their sell by date. Your mind deteriorates to a point
  10. I still got the shivers after seeing those photos. I'll have fecking nightmares tonight and wake up in the we hours sweating like feck. TC
  11. There are a few in Australia that use long nets. I know one imported sheet netting from china, but that was a few years ago. Pm this member Kevi He does long netting in Victoria he may know where to get some sheet netting. TC
  12. I feel sick just looking at the photos. TC
  13. Video of it happening? TC
  14. I like the photo, I can see why some may think it is provocative, some just do not like being reminded of their mortality. TC
  15. So I take it that you will be willing to pay the extra tax, if we all give up smoking? Even though I am a smoker I do agree with some of what you say I would never, even before the ban light up in a restaurant, as I hate someone smoking when I am eating, and I smoke. This is one law that imo is wrong, there should be smoking areas in pubs and clubs. Since the ban the only time I go out is weddings, christenings and funerals. I cannot believe that I am the only one who does this? So once again through a badly thought out law we who pay the most and on average take the least are being penali
  16. Thats the problem with the world today, your not allowed to die any more, you have to be kept alive at any cost. It is totally against the natural order. Smokers die younger on average, no one is disputing that. Therefore they cost less in pensions and elderly care. So when you break down the costs to society we are more value for money, as we contribute more and cost less than a non smoker. TC
  17. In fact, thinking about it now. We smokers are giving you a better lifestyle. Because without that 12 billion £'s we generate through tax you would be paying a lot more tax than you do. So By my reckoning you should be thanking us not berating us. TC
  18. What a load of baloney. They tell you that 6 people out of every 1000 could be at risk of getting cancer through passive smoking. What they omit to tell you is that those 6 people would be at risk for other reasons other than passive smoking anyway. The actual revenue from cigarettes including VAT is 12 billion and with government figures the cost to the NHS is estimated to be between 2.6 to 6 billion £ so FFS don't tell me I am a drain on the NHS. I pay far more than you in taxes, and I am treated as a pariah for doing so. Read this. https://fullfact.org/factchecks/does_smoking_cost_a
  19. Get them sown now. Sow them in modules in the cold greenhouse and just cover them with bubble wrap, they will germinate. Once they get their first true leaves pot them on to 3" pots, use a good compost. TC
  20. And his age 21 this year. I bet if you went on face book you could find his life history. TC
  21. The practice of muzzling ferrets still goes on.I had this one handed into me a few years ago muzzled with a string muzzle. God knows how many days she had been walking around with the muzzle on. Lovely temperament and not a bad worker, not the best by any means but just did her job.Funnily enough I never had a lay up with her and she was always biddable when leaving a warren. She died this year, I had no idea of her age when I had her handed in and I had her about 4 or 5 years. Tucking in to a pheasant leg as if she had not seen food for days. TC
  22. Long net in the night, it's crying out for it. TC
  23. I am sure I seen spit roasters for hire, might be worth a look? TC
