Yeah i suppose a TT rider wouldnt handle a "Super Car" ! Im sure he would make it 100% more interesting, entertaining, than 3 middle aged ,pompus twats ! Top Gear is what it is, like it or loath it. Seems a lot of people like it though. TC

Clarkson is a middle class ponce, who likes gobbing where he thinks he will be safe. I would like to see him in the ring with Maidana for a couple of rounds then we can see who the better man is.. Is that how you measure the worth of a man? TC

Seems I was wrong, there is actually 87% of the meat that it states in the burgers. http://www.newproductreviews.com/new-frozen-food-products/iceland-im-a-celebrity-exotic-meat-ostrich-kangaroo-crocodile-burger-review-2014/ TC

I will not shop at Iceland. when they say they are beefburgers / crock / roo, read the label, there in never more than trace amounts of meat in their burgers. TC

The man still has a gross worth of 30 million, do you really think he gives a toss what people think? TC

The problem with stickies is they are seldom used, also there is no interaction between people. There are a few on here who myself and others have helped when they started off, now they are answering questions that a while ago they were asking. And so it goes on, the knowledge is passed along. To be honest, there is nothing difficult about making nets, I was taught when I was 10 or so. That said, it is better with a one to one tuition, that way problems can be stopped before they start. Take the ubiquitous lengthening end mesh, I don't think there is a net maker who has not had it at some

How to win friends and influence people? To be honest, people want short cuts, instead of working things out for themselves. There are plenty of threads giving information on purse nets and a search with the wording "making purse nets" would bring up many. TC

I used to use Agouti's long net twine to make the outers for square meshed trammels. The brown would be fine one batch then the next batch it would snap often, never had that problem with the green. One thing that may influence different batches is the temperature, polyester has to be dyed at 160 C only when the twine reaches that temperature do the fibres in the twine open up to allow the dye to take. I think, although I am not sure, that sometimes they over cook the temperature when dying which results in the twine becoming brittle? The problem is that Agouti has no control over this

Was that aimed at me? TC

Was that the brown or green? I have had issues in the past with the brown, but never with the green. TC

No I use a bar threaded through the selvedges. I usually put a dozen or so meshes from each side on the bar. I have cup hooks screwed into the ferret cage about 2 feet apart and thread the bar through the cup hooks. That is the way I add selvedges to a net. Or you can use a frame like the one I use to mend nets. TC

To join two nets again the cutting out is important have a look at the drawing each knot is numbered in sequence. All the knots when joining two bits of net are side knots, if done correctly and with the same twine you will be hard pushed to see the join. The thick lines are where the net should be cut. I have used the white twine here for it to stand out better. As I stated all the knots are side knots have a look at the net repair post to see how they are made. TC

I use them, I had some heavy duty welded ones off of ebay great for shaped nets but no good for full bodied nets. I get 10 meshes on the bar of the D ring. TC

There are a lot of things that can cause a net to twist. From the tension on the twine when it is spooled, to loading the needle incorrectly. Both Nelson and Leeview are correct in what they say. I would say the biggest factor is loading the needle incorrectly, in that when the needle is twisted when being loaded a twist is put in the twine. I stopped using a normal netting needle around 1980 and never had a twist in a net since. Use a Loomis or Norwegian type of needle load the needle with the spool horizontal and the twine coming off the top of the spool and you will never have a twiste

When you leave her off the lead, you say she bolts off up the field. In my eye that is one of the causes of the problem, that and it's age. The dog thinks that once the lead comes off it can do as it wants. Make the dog walk at heel with the lead off and only let it have a run when you tell it to. TC

Problem with the builders trugs is the handles last no time. The daughter uses them for horse feed etc; never known the handles of one to last 6 months. TC
