in my neck of the woods a lot of vets practices are expanding bigger premises even hostpitals so pet owners should expect competative rates YES of course NOT. The missus has just told me about her dads neighbours first dealings with a vet and it goes like this he got a kitten for his young daughter it went missing sadly they found it DEAD in the tumble dryer (don't laugh)so he took it to the vets cos his daughter wanted him to .Vet says yep its dead do you want me to take its body away that will be £40 THANK YOU !!!!! hang on thats not the best bit the vet then sees the little girl is upset s

start from scatch sit it down before you give it its grub hold dish in your hand at chest hight do'nt feed until he looks up at you try to get the dog to glance at you before you aske it to do anything like putting leader on retrieving dummy hunting on etc just stand next to him say nowt and be patient soon as he looks let him do as commanded hope you get my drift. a.t.b.

for fri and sat nights two guns + dogs .Me and my pal shoot in the borders we are getting on a bit so we are finding it hard to do the 130 mile round trip to our shoot all in one day we used to stay in a caravan on the shoot but its no good any more as the heater is dodgy and the van is cold and damp now.the farmer wo'nt let us take another van up there untill we get rid of the old one and thats going to be a big problem now the wood its in has matured.So if anyone can do owt for us lets know ta. PS i have been unable to find anything suitable on the web pages of b/b and cottages.

its getting expensive to go to my permission for more then one day a week also very tireing when driving home(getting on a bit) so thought about self catering cottage to book fri and sat during low season and if right set up then a week or so let later on. filterd the search to location and dogs welcome and for minimum of two people got a few emails off to potential lets but all replys are anti hunting so no joy up to now so have you lot got any places that you would recomend and are both field sports and dog friendly and maybe start a list with locations etc or this could be a possible earner

dump credit cards bring back cash my own view is the rot set in when we had to have our pay deposited into a bank and not a pay packet my generation did'nt have bank accounts or cheuqe books until we could'nt get our earnings unless a bank account was set up.basicly we had no choice but to get involved with banks and now we are a captive audience and can't do without them.if you nick a hundred Quid of one person you'l get found out but if you nick one pound each from a hundred people then it's not as noticeable old mans rant and conspiresy theory over

driven up to the farm gate as i was the passenger i got out to open the gate i spy a bunny next to the gate post so i point it out to the driver and pick a stone up he shakes his head noway i throw the stone and kill the bunny stone dead what makes this even more unbelievable is that i am avery poor shot so my mate always tells me i should have thrown a stone at it when i miss owt with the gun.

its all down to the pension prividers not wanting to pay out to the baby boomers as there is to many of them reaching pensionable age at the same time. it was different when most of the baby boomers where earning from the age of 15 and paying tax.as for docters pensions its a fact of life some of us are paid more for our skills than others and like it or not the doctors are in the grip of the propergander machine and as long as joe public is taken a pop at them they are leaving the real badys alone RANT OVER to answer you post no one should have to work until the are over sixty as for 48k pen

i have a bitch who was like yours howled and cowerd away from owt strange i just kept calm and gently talked and reasured her and made sure she met with plenty of other dogs and people she can still be timid but when out hunting she takes no notice of other dogs people or stock she get on with her work ps is a spiger across between a springer and a tiger sorry just pulling you leg take your time and you'l get there

don't see why he dos'nt use nets on that ground looks ideal for neting and soft enough for digging we bolt to the gun when conditions call for it like thick blackthorn hedges woods or whinny bushes where you can't get the nets set up and long nets won't do the job bolting to the gun is good sport and can help to steady a dog that runs inn.

i understand you'r just winding people up with this topic but the point of paying good money for a dog in my view is it stops the so called dog men from going thru lots of dogs untill they get one they can handle .
