  5. I do wonder why a small number of poster on here seem to be fixated on refugees etc and have to bring the subject to every topic? Its odd how people see the world.....to me global warming is a major issue facing the world and getting lost in symptoms rather than dealing with the core issue is a waste of time.

  12. As foxes are self domesticating in our cities today, it would appear that living close to humans brings on " natural domestication" so the early wolf/dogs likely underwent the same process and from there were easier to become fully domestic when the time was right. Urban foxes may be self-domesticating in our midst WWW.SCIENCEMAG.ORG City living may have set the animals on the road to doglike features
  13. slightly odd answer, immigration is more a symptom of climate change than a cause and one that will become more not less acute as things deteriorate. Yes climate change is about money, unfortunately that is a fact of life and doing anything about it is going to be very expensive. Big companies are the biggest contributors but our economies depend on the companies and what they produce, ie oil etc. For me the question is, is there will enough for people to put up with the financial cost to each of us as individuals to make a change happen or do we leave it to our children?

  19. The scoring is similar to English coursing, score for 1st in the run up and turn, then turns/work scores as the course goes on, so a fast dog that catches can get a quick win but as the course goes on a slower type can build up its scores to win. Bear in mind that those entering the top competitions are just the tip of the iceberg, there are thousands of people running their dogs as a hobby to catch a hare or compete against their mates etc. Ps the Spanish like a dog that takes the hare.
  20. I've spoken to a couple that have Galgos in new mexico, they rate them as decent catch dogs.
