  1. I've got a nearly full tin (probably about 30 used) of Daystate Rangemaster Li in .22 that I don't have a use for. If anyone has a tin of .22 Falcon Accuracy Plus or .22 RWS Superdomes and fancies a swap, give me a shout. Cheers.
  2. Accurately shooting a spring rifle all comes down to recoil management. If you're allowing the rifle to recoil naturally in the same fashion each time, then you'll shoot consistently. Generally, resting your hand on a post will be sufficient to allow the rifle to go through it's natural recoil cycle.
  3. You might be able to pick up a second hand Weihrauch for that kind of money mate. Have a look for an HW95K. I'd steer clear of Cometa. A BSA Lightning would be a good starting point, but for me the BSA springers lack the quality of HWs. AirArms make excellent springers too, but you'd probably need to increase your budget to get one!
  4. Haha, I'll probably order some valium as a back up! I know what you mean, I put a new scope on my HW95K this weekend, and I spent a couple of hours paper punching with it this afternoon. Quite looking forward to getting out in the field with it for a couple of hours.
  5. Good on you mate! The stock on your pro-sport looks absolutely stunning! Really nice looking rifle. Are you only shooting with springers these days? I've just aquired a new pup - staffy/jack russell cross. She's about 8 months old, and I'm her third home in that time. She's not going anywhere now though. She's into everything, and pretty much impossible to keep occupied, but I'm hopeful when she's older and calmer she'll come out with me!
  6. Glad to hear it mate. I wish Mr Bowkett had a website or something though! I have an R10 that I would like some work done too, but I'm in two minds as to whether to go to A&M or JB. Either way, I can't afford it right now. I also want to get my Ultra Tench reg'd. I love both my BSA rifles, but as has been said before many times it baffles me why anyone should spend top dollar on a new rifle and then a further couple of hundred to get it as good as it should be out of the box.
  7. I've been looking for a cheap QB78 to have a go at an HPA conversion. If anyone knows of one for around the £40 mark, let me know!
  8. I have an R10 and an Ultra...although the Ultra is the single shot model. I love both of them very much; the R10 is my favourite, but I'd give the Ultra serious thought too.
  9. Use a pull through mate, it's best to always clean from breech to muzzle, so cleaning rod isn't the best thing for an underlever.
  10. Never used one personally, but have handled a couple of Prestige models in the gunshop. They seem like nice pieces of equipment, and I look to be built to a good standard.
  11. Slightly off topic, but Strong Stuff's comment about 'tying him up and wanking in his mouth' made me laugh harder than anything I've seen on this forum in a long time. Keep at it Oly, best of luck.
  12. Looks like you and the new NV are going to be good friends, huh?
  13. Not sure I agree with anything you've said there Lofty. Admittedly, SMKs aren't finished to an exactly consistent standard, but the likes of the XS19, XS20 and XS38 are all solid rifles. These are rifles genuine branded SMK rifles, built by BAM, and these all cost £150 and upwards. The cheaper end of the SMK range is built by Westlake, and certainly not worth even looking at. The BAM build SMKs can be turned into very nice rifles with a little tune up. That said, this still doesn't fall within the OPs budget of £100. Nivek65, as Buster said, you'll have to closer top double that mon
  14. Have you tried the 90, Ron...? A bit weightier than a Fenman but much nicer to shoot Never have no. I'm not really in the market for a new gun; can only shoot one at a time, and my HW95K rarely gets a look in these days with the PCPs around. That said, I've no doubt that if I had to sell them, it would be the last one to go. Maybe one day I'll get my hands on an HW90 and a Fenman and try them both! Cheers
  15. And if you're in the market for a Hills Pump, I have one for sale!
  16. Most shots at night are missed due to poor range estimation. Estimating distance in the dark is much harder than in daylight!
  17. Cheers Shay, good to see you back on here! I've just PM'd you mate.
  18. I've always fancied a Fenman. It's the one self contained rifle that I'd part with my HW95K for.
  19. Someone will get themselves a hell of a deal their mate. I'm tempted by an S10, but can't justify spending money on another rifle...can only shoot one at a time! Good luck with the sale buddy. And good luck with the new HW100 too!
  20. I'm unable to see that mate, not enough posts. How much are you asking for?
  21. Definitely beats sitting in front of my laptop, which is what I would have been doing if not out with the rifle. And yes Bill, I'm very happy with my boots! Picked up a pair of Karrimor walking boots from TK Maxx in January for about £40 - seen the same ones in Millets for £120. So fa r, so good! Thanks for your replies fellas. May you all shoot with more competence than I from now on.
  22. One of the least convincing and least well informed posts I've ever seen on here. Well done.
  23. Occassionally we all have an off day. Seems today it was my turn. Arrived a a local permission at about 7am. At this place, I always have the gun loaded as soon as I enter the drive way, as there is more often than not, a bunny or two that are shootable from the passenger window. This time the was no bunny, but a woody, which I duly missed, and managed to scare everything else off. Car parked, and there was a couple of rabbits out grazing on the far side of the house. Chose the closest one, and missed that. About 10 minutes passed and I dropped a rook from a tall tree. It f
