  1. Thought I'd have a little look at one of my new permissions, a garden in the next village to me. I've just swapped some scopes around on my rifles, and thought I'd take my .177 single shot Ultra to see if I could do some damage to the resident rabbits, and get the dog some dinner. After a very quick zero in the back garden, I headed up the road. As soon as I got out of the car, the first opportunity presented itself. I rushed the shot, and struck a stone just behind the rabbit's head. It jumped as if it had been shot, and then legged it. Sat still under a tree, and after 7 o
  2. Someone will be getting a bargain for £60!
  3. Thanks fellas. Hopefully will be out at a different permission tonight too.
  4. Found myself in the increasingly rare (these days) position of being at home, dog walked, animals and myself fed by 7pm tonight. I've not even looked at my rifles for a good few weeks, so as I'd picked up a nice garden permission just down the road yesterday, I took advantage of the opportunity to go and check it out. I'd had my R10's action out of it's stock recently, so I out a couple of magazines down my garden range to get my zero sorted, and off I went. Was there just under an hour, more of a recce than anything, but I managed to bag a hat-trick of woodies, and one rabbit.
  5. I'm sorry if this offends anybody, but they look awful to me. I'd be embarrassed handing something like that out to land owners. It looks like something that a kid would come up with to try and look professional, even though they know nothing. Just my opinion, no offence intended.
  6. I've used them, and for me they're identical to Accupells. That's no bad thing though, as they've always been top quality pellets.
  7. do you know how far half a yard is ? good now times that by 2 Brilliant. Well done.
  8. Hilarious. Do you know how long a yard is?
  9. Haha, well done for getting out mate. Sometimes that's the way it goes. I've lost a few corvids that have got stuck in the top of tall trees this season, very frustrating!
  10. I've got third dibs if the other fall through!
  11. Nice video mate, thanks for the bunnies!
  12. Hi mate, This has been a common problem with the early R10s. Mine did it, but it rarely seems to happen now. I found that giving the bolt a firmer tug back than usual made the mag index. The link you show is the new type of self indexing mag. I've not used one, but apparently they're great. The Mk1 R10 will need an alteration to allow them to work though I believe. That's something that I'm hoping to do at some point.
  13. I like Marksman pellets, the ones that come in a cardboard box similar to a box of drawing pins. I think the way that some of them don't fit in the breech and some drop straight through the barrel is just perfect.
  14. Phil (ryan666) is one of the good guys. Top fella.
  15. I've had a few stoats bolt, a grass snake, a pheasant and a mallard - both of which happened on the same day! Never found another ferret though.
  16. There's a fully mechanical Daystate either just released or about to be released. I can't remember the name, maybe Wolverine? Either way, it looks absolutely incredible.
  17. Moley, how do you afford a new gun every week?!
  18. Sounds like you had a good trip pal, nice one.
  19. Thanks for all the comments - my ferrets have certainly been enjoying the fruits of our labours!
