  1. Octopus lure to entice them from the coral prior to being speared, the first one I ever got was a small blue-ringed octopus, luckily the guy I was with warned me from touching it and a hooked cuttle-fish/squid lure for use at night under the boats lights.
  2. These are just basic models the guys working on the seaweed-farms get their food with,I spoke to him about the fish-stunner,he has housed it in plastic drainpipe but he said he could get metal casings made-up
  3. Nilos in sulu at the minute Maty,on a seaweed farm, just sent me these pics, theres no net connection but he is hooked up to his phone Typical home-made native speargun mate, they caught a few hawksbill turtles this morning, still waiting for the pics to come through

  7. Ferret Boy,I am sure OTC or some collector of antiquated trapping literature has a Youngs catalogue, you would be surprised how much they used to cost If I was after one now I would either make it myself from scratch,or search around for a heavy Z nylon sheet netting
  8. I cant remember how much mine was to be honest,it seems like wayyy back in time so I probably paid in groats or bartered for a goat Contact one of the guys who make nets on here, one of them would do you a bespoke

  10. I bought one YEARS ago, from either youngs of misterton or KP&S??I was only about 15?There was no canvas tail on mine, and I remember how difficult it was to synchronise dragging it with my mates,I remember we caught birds in ford quarry in sunderland with it,not many, very low numbers then I got a .410 shotgun and used to shoot them with the lamp, quicker and more effective,I wouldnt kill an english partridge nowadays though Very dainty beautiful birds.

Tracker dogs?Searching the area? You watch too much TV artic This was real life, not a reality show or "cops on camera" where they posture and preen I used to live in a country where your legally allowed to shoot a burglar,I am not advocating that here as I would invite som of my neighbours over at 1am for a tea or coffee But jesus christ, what a bunch of people we employ, they earn their PLOD nickname.

The police were called within 2 or 3 minutes,I told my sis to put in a complaint, but in all honesty whats the use, coppers really are a waste of space,a necessary evil, but the majority are just in the job for easy-street and a pension at the end
