Sounds like fun and I always liked "sleeping camels"I did a 20 day camel trip once when I was a kid,done a few trips like yours,longest was overland UK to Hong Kong following the old silk route,I was in Morocco earlier this year,good times,happy memories,life is all about experience and family Byron,anything else is icing on the cake,good luck and enjoy your trip.

The fabled city,Timbuktu was always one of those mythical cities when I was a kid,well done that man,I have a couple of mates did it on motorbikes,you getting the ferry from Genoa or Marseilles to Tunis?What sort of timescale are you on?Enjoy your trip byron,be lucky.

I remember speaking to a chinese guy about intellectual property theft,he told me that as long as there are one or two slight differences to the original your green to go,you couldnt knock up a kania type could you?I priced Kanias in Bulk(500)in Canada,the 2000 works out at £18. and the 2500 was £15.65,this was the basic trap price bough in bulk and without shipping costs etc.You want to think about producing some of your ideas.
