I was up chasing the dawn this morning,the heat was already building,and before the sun had fully risen was out on the straits of Gibraltar just marvelling at the Pod's of dolphin that appeared to ride the bow-waves,came back in and crossed over to La Linea for breakfast at a pavement cafe on the avenue del ejercito,bright-blue skies and 38 degrees centigrade,perfect start to whats thus far been a perfect day,whats your ideas of a perfect start to your day

A lot of books nowadays are re-hashes of previous authors,as has been said theres only so much old ground you can tread before its been-there seen-that,it has never been easier to vanity/self publish whether for ego or cash,those who do it because they have a need or passion to pass on hard-earned knowledge are different,but they are few and far-between,thin on the ground I havent bought a book for years but there is ONE i am waiting for,snaremans book,when its finished something tells me its not being written for cash otherwise it would be filled with naught but illustrations and diagrams,I

The Geordies and Mackems were out in force earlier down in the bars around Ocean Village Marina,loads of red & White and Black & White shirts on show,good match and the best team on the day won,its a game,thats sportsmanship

I am in holland at the moment sitting logged-on when I could be out with my 2 mates who are most probably whoring and drinking like its going out of fashion,THL isnt so bad -

I was in phnom penh years ago at a mates birthday party,he is welsh but has lived out there since the mid-90's,he was maybe still is a bit of a stoner,anyway the khmer use pot in their cooking hence the happy pizza shops that cater for backpacker types,when you ask for extra topping you get extra topping with a kick(extra marijuana)and its readily available in the markets or it was back then,it was maybe $10-20 a kilo,cant remember exactly,what I do recall is my mate got a few keys cheap and dumped them on the BBQ charcoals for those that so desired to inhale the smoke,they all got silly and g

Never once seen an otter in a gill-net,had a few cormorants in them but no otters,the net they pulled in looked like a 10 yard kids chuck-out with the brick on the end to get it out,boring,that wasnt bank to bank as he was describing.

I just fast-forwarded it to the salmon section,scotland can sleep easy tonight safe in the knowledge that operation salmo got what looked like a 10 yard toss-in net from the Tweed thus saving "Dozens of fish" from being sold for FORTY QUID A KILO??????

Never had any problems with just dropping everything and heading off,its the coming back thats a downer sometimes,its ok when you first arrive back here but the excitement palls after a while and you yearn to be off again.
