There are a lot of differences I agree but none I see as significant in the reasoning. Both are done for the same reason, the hunter wants to hunt the critter/beast/quarry because it's enjoyable, it fore-fills the instincts given to them from several hundred thousand years of hunting prior to the agricultural revolution 12k years ago. There aren't many trophy hunters that only go out to bag the most impressive trophy as a sign of their superiority, that's a total fallacy.
