  1. Thanks Andy for clearing that up, I was pretty sure I was correct on that case. I was busy typing up my reply when you did yours! Phantom
  2. Indeed I do see your point Regarding the FAC for life, as far as I am aware (I have a friend who is an RFD and I'll verify this with him) if you take your rifle into a gunshop and they test it and find its over the limit here in the UK, then they are required by law to seize the gun for later disposal by the authorities unless it is listed on a FAC. They can not work on it and return the gun to you The Importers of the guns the case you specify being Hull Cart Co' are allowed to bring these guns into the country and adjust the power (if needed) before they actually are sent out into
  3. Cheers bud I knew you wouldn't give me a biased opinion Thats certainly good enough for me, gonna have to start saving me pennies, I may be able to buy yours in about 50 years time when your too old to pick it up and club me with it What kind of price are these things new in a shop or average second user price? Phantom
  4. Suppose I'm going to have to save up and join yawl aint I? I read a comment about the 100 today though that I thought must have possibly been a design flaw? Apparently the trigger mech is somewhat exposed and it tends to get a bit grubby? I shall defere to you all that own one to inform me of the truth Phantom PS was it designed to be a hunter or target 1st?

:welcomeani: Mickey One thing you should know about Woodies, is they have exceptional eyesight They also see in the Ultra Violate Spectrum, rather than how we see in the Visible Light Spectrum. Now they have this fantastic advantage of being able to see the tinyest piece of Human Flesh because our skin shows up BIG time under UV so they can see us incredibly well. I have snook up on woodies and even hidden under a huge old conker tree with my dpm on and a hat balaclava, gloves etc.. And as soon as I look up nomatter how slowley I do it, they're off. Once thought I had it made

  9. Gutted for you Chris, Fill the holes, but not a lot you can do about the dents unless of course you want to sand the butt down till the dents go. Pain in the arse, having dents in the butt maybe thats why she made such a noise Who else calls theirs 'Dent's'? Phantom

  11. Regular oil will prevent it from spreading or getting worse I don't think it will be feasable to remove it if its just a few spec's but oil will certainly help disguise it. Failing that, there are a few places that advertise gun blue/black touch up pens which may be an alternative But wiping the barrel down with oil after each trip is a very good idea. Hope that helps a little? Phantom
  12. Bit of emery cloth or wire wool, will do it Then you can either, blue it, black it, or (my least favourite option) paint it. Phantom

  17. Glad to have been of help Nathan, I would have to disagree with Shay's advice regarding tinypic though I had hundreds of images with them a while ago, but the disadvantage is that ALL images are available to ALL users I was promptly accused of animal crualty and everything im my account was deleted, including pix of my grandaughter, my wife and many more I complained like hell to tinypic, telling them the images are used to educate hunters and pest controllers worldwide and that all the dead animals were shot through the brain and they are all considdered pests and vermin u
  18. I Share your opinion on Point of Entry Testing, I think it is a very good idea However, If a gun is tested and is shown to be over the limit they are not allowed to make changes to the gun; they would have (by law) had to arrest you on the spot and there are mandatory jail terms for importing illegal air rifles and air pistols. Once a gun is over the 12ft/lbs limit, it (from what I understand and as always I am open to correction) the gun is then classed as an FAC firarm for the rest of its life even if its power were to be reduced So you clearly were very lucky that the gun was
