Spot on RH.I personally think even the best of digging dogs would soon start coming off quicker and quicker if you was to keep allowing them to go to ground without digging them.Im not saying they do it to please their owner but i difinately think they see you as a teammate.

The ones ive seen have all been excellent guards.Ive seen a couple of people try using them for pp and its not really a suitable job for them.

My pal who owns a few pp dogs says to this day that some of the best dogs hes seen were when him and his pals were teenagers.They were lads running around fighting with other gangs,travelling all over london jumping on and off of buses and tubes.Right from pups they would run along beside them on their bikes stopping when they got to roads.The dogs couldnt of had better socialisation or environmental training.Wher the dogs were with them 24hrs a day when they got in scraps the dogs would just automatically join in.He says even with all the proffesional training he does these days he reckons he

I know.A fella who we both know has run them and said it wasnt even enjoyably it was so easy but the pocket rockets that were there still couldnt catch one.

Will it be a pup?Ive seen a few older imported caso's that have come over that have been nearvy bags of shit where theyve had zero socialisation outside their yard.My pal just gave one away that he paid a lump for because as soon as you took it into a different environment it fell to bits.

Only so he can imprint them so it makes them easier to interfere with the filthy animal.The only reason id resort to bottle feeding from day 1 would be if the bitch died in labour.

I dont know mate,maybe but ive never heard of it.The stuff you can buy in a tin for bottle feeding pups is or always was just milk not colostrum.

The colostrum that a pup gets from the bitch for the first 3 days wont make or break the pup as a worker when its older but the antibodies that it gets from the colostrum definitely plays a massive part in a dogs wellbeing and immune system as an adult.

I think they can be ok if they've fed from the bitch for the first 3 days but personally I wouldnt bother with a pup thats been bottle fed from the minute it was born.

Ive worked on a few gas sites in London where the poxy things are walking aroung like dogs.Had them sitting 10/15m away just watching us working and ive tried squeaking them and they dont even react to it.Ive even walked towards one and when ive got ridiculously close it just got up walked a few meters and sat back down again.

????You definately know the score mate.Ive a friend who was seriously into the Alapahas but got very fed up with the scene as they were health testing all their stock but nobody else seemed to be interested. To be honest the show i was asked to judge i was shocked at the amount of over aggressive or nearvy dogs there and the owners seemed to think it was acceptable as the breed standard says can be aloof with strangers.Seen a lot with real dog aggresion problems to even with opposite sex and pups.

Back in the early 90s a pal of mine that used to come on here travelled around the southern states visiting different AB breeders including Alan Scott who we ended up having dogs directly from.Whilst staying with Alan he would go up the mountain at the back of his house and help feed the bulldogs that were all chained to trees with a barrel to sleep in and also help feed Alans catahulas that he had in big paddocks.After a few days Alan had to pop out one evening and my pal offered to feed the dogs whilst he was gone and Alan told him yeah go and feed the bulldogs as they'll be fine now theyve

I looked over a couple of his dogs at a show and noticed that they were piss stained all the way up to their chests.I was later told by a few different people that he keeps large numbers of dogs in crates laying in their own mess in his cellar.The day of the show i was told by a close friend that he went to a party afterwards and his dogs were locked in his car till midday the next day and he then got in his car and drove the 4hrs+ home and didnt even let them out to empty out .Unfortunately from what ive seen of the alapaha scene it is going the same way as the ABs did but faster.
