All them £300/£500 bikes wont last a year using them for through the woods a couple of times a week.Even if they say shimano gears etc it will be the bottom of the range shimano stuff churned out for the budget market bikes.Most decent mountain bikes only have 9 or 11 gears these days 1st will still be like 1st always was and 11th will be the same as top gear was there is just less unnecessary gears in between so all the gears are just all the front cogs saving weight saving having 2 levers to mess about with and less stuff to go wrong.

Orange 5 mate.Handbuilt in the uk with fantastic after sales service.Most of the dealers that sell them offer 0%finance so you can spread the cost.One great thing with orange is they give a five year guarantee with their frames and i know lands that have had frames replaced.Also if the frame starts to look a bit tatty you can send it back and the will shot blast repowdercoat in the colour of your choice and replace all bearings for £200 quid.

Deffinately.Ive took on older dogs reared by other people and no matter how much ive put into them ive never been able to get them quite like dogs ive reared myself.Im not saying its been down to the food exclusively.Plenty of exercise,regular worming etc all played a part but i think a good quality varied flesh diet played a major part.

I always rear mine on raw from day 1 so never had chance to notice a difference.But i have seen lads rear littermates of dogs ive owned on complete kibbles and they havnt physically made the same animals and its happened too many times to be a coincidence.

Thankyou.The bitch on the bottom pick is a little bitch i had here called Ginny.She was a grandaughter to Megs brother and a full sister to Lees Molly that spent some time up in west wales with the fella who ran the Patterdale site.she was bred more heavily on the older Nuttal blood.A decent enough little bitch but would take some real bad stick because of her small size.

Yes.She was very young in that pic.I used to have a lot of decent pics of her and all the stuff she was out of and various offspring of hers untill someone decided to nick my photo album.

Yeah mate.Shes a half sister to your old dog Brock and that Hector dog that Lee got from me for Ant.You can see they're all related cant you.Thats the bitch you was given the pedigree for that didnt make any sense.

Surprised you ever had that Brandy back or bred anything from it Glyn as you said you didnt like it and slated how it was bred thats why you got rid of it shortly after you had it from me as a pup.

That looks just like my shopping trolly except there's usually 20tins of the cheapest nasty sardines and bargain frozen veg and bottles of bleach and zaflora.The girls on the tills must think what a skanky f****r

Like i said in an above post if you're really into your dogs does it matter.I know so many lads who claim to be dog men who will happily by a £20 bag of weed a day or 8cans every night or £80 up their hooter on a saturday night but wont do a score a week on their dogs.

Ive always fed meat as half of my dogs diet even when i did use stuff from a bag but for the last 5/6 years ive fed exclusively raw.I normally pop into Morrisons a couple of evenings and look for whatever is reduced so they're always getting something different Beef,lamb,chicken and various offal.I alao by the cheap frozen bags of green veg broccoli,sprouts,kale etc which i just defrost and mix in with their meat.It might be a little more expensive and a tiny bit more time consuming but if you're really as into your dogs as some claim to be does it really matter.

Ive just got back from walking the dogs round a block of fields bordering a bit of woodland with an old pond where i normally get bitten to f**k.I sprayed it all over any exposed skin before i left and was actially watching the little c**ts land on me and take straight off again.I bought 4 bottles for 12.95 and they arrived 2days later and theyd chucked in 4 anti mozzy wristbands for free.Looks like a good ebay purchase for once.

Havn't got a f**king clue mate.I do know it all started about the time i turned 40 which was about the same time everything else started going wrong and falling apart on me lol

Might be worth a go.Ive been working along the edge of woodland today and out on the marshes along the edges of dykes in shorts and a T shirt.I covered myself in the Avon stuff this morning and havn't been bitten today whereas the 2 lads ive been working with have been moaning like f**k so i reckon there must be something to it.Gunna spray myself tonight before i walk the dogs as thats when they normally hammer me.

The 1st year it happened i got bit on the side of my jaw and it ended up looking like id been smacked with a cricket bat.Twice ive been bit on my calf and the whole calf swelled so bad it felt like the skin was going to split and last year i was bit on the back of my hand on a friday and by sunday morning i couldnt bend my fingers at all where it had all swollen so much.I ended up going straight to AandE as i had red tracks moving up my forearm.Everytime its also red hot and itchy as f**k and ends up constantly weeping from where i was bitten.

Thats a coincidence.Ive just bought 4 bottles off eBay as my workmate said its always being recommended on the carp fishing groups hes on.The advert did recommend it for a mosquito repellent.Ive also got a bottle of citronella essential oil that i pour in a small bowl and leave on my bedroom window seal.Every year i have at least one really bad reaction to a bite and end up having to take a strong course of antibiotics.

Maybe there is a good reason that lads are using black dogs and not the other breeds.

I could never work out why my pal kept any of that white rubbish when he had very capable black dogs from Kens breeding but for some reason he took everything Old Gouldy said as gospel.I reckon Ken could have sold him a guinea pig.

All of my best dogs have had their fair share of spending time indoors as well as in kennels.Terriers/Lurchers/bulldogs and pp dogs.I believe the more time you can spend with your dogs the the better understanding and bond you'll have with them.

The fella i had my first black terriers from also had white dogs direct from Gouldy out of flint.Ok all the time they could bully a fox but that was about it and right f***ing twats for fighting and a few of them would kill a pup too if they got the chance.
