Your standard net 14 meshes deep+selvedge @41/2" will give you just over 6' of sheet net, your top and bottom line say 24"(I do mine at 18") apart leaves you 4' of net below the bottom line giving 2' of clearance for the rabbits to pass under, Good Luck Y.I.S Leeview

its not going to be a best of 3vote if we can overturn the law thats it it will return to what we loved, no "you can do this but you cant do that anymore, its 100% restored to what it was before the ban" and the anti's wont get a chance to appeal it so we have to be patient until the times right, it may take time a pain I know but patience is a virtue worth waiting for Y.I.S Leeview -
do a search for site "old_maps" and either print them off or buy them from them Y.I.S Leeview

Common sense really,we'll only get one chance to overturn this law so pointless pushing it to a vote when the outcome would nt favour us. When the numbers are in our favour thats the time to be pushing for changing this law Y.I.S Leeview -
at 66yrs old would nt she be a lot older than blair and brown?the judge deemed no further action because in his view it was not hare coursing, the dogs were muzzled a gun, was placed at the end of the field to shoot the hares. Not only CDW and Sir mark Prescott but the Yorkshire Greyhound Field Trialling Club committe were deemed to of been acting within the lawY.I.S Leeview she went to the same uni not at the same time lol , they were found not guilty even after pleading guilty as the judge said he was unsure but then said if anyone dose it again he would treat them harshly they were not give

Not like you to miss an anti Max, they were filming covertly and just blended in with the crowd they certainly did nt kick off.Have you ever been to a meet where I was nt there? When the plans for field trialling were drawn up I suggested meetings were held Sat+Sun to differentiate it from coursing which was illegal on a Sunday and they did nt go for that idea AND started having lure meetings on a Sunday Y.I.S Leeview

Folk Moaning About The Lack Of Quality Working Collie Grey Pups

I can remember Wattling Street coursing way back in the 70's Chrim Smith had him at the Crossfield Tavern in Sheffield never turned any bitches away Y.I.S Leeview -
Some good points there roybo, one mans interpretation of the standard maybe different from all the other judges but judges decissions are final and someone will be happy with judge on the day Y.I.S Leeview

roybo, changes in breed standards do have to be approved by the KC and judges also are accreditted by the KC but the breed clubs put them up to the KC, the breed clubs have a lot to answer for imho. If the dog has an exagerated head(for example) it should be mentioned in the breed standard otherwise its a fault and its up to judges to judge honestly to that breeds standard. The GSD at Crufts Ch.Elmo Van Huhnegrab has won Bob for the last 4 yrs and has been pulled out in the last 6 each time,it also has won working trials at the highest level including manwork so must surely be fit for

the KC dont breed the dogs or set the breed standards, the breed clubs submit the standards that they want to see in their chosen breed.the KC are a registry of pedigree dogs that have been bred they have a Gazette that records what litters have been born to which bitch by which sire and how many pups were in the litter, sex and what colour the pups are. Shows are run under KC guidance all year round not just Crufts and to take part the dogs have to be registered with the KC. So how does that "feck a lot of good breeds" The NCC still keeps "the Greyhound Studbook" for all greyhounds that are

Jack I dont think there was a video in 96, as breeze says they were filming them in the 80's it was a father and son who recorded them and sold the videos unfortunately the son took his own life and the father packed in after that.Sorry to hear about your lossR.I.P Y.I.S Leeview

The coursing standard was 20" across the board which is why most people ran bitches instead of dogs. I'm sure there are show dogs quite a bit bigger than 20.5 now. Are you sure coursing and racing dogs had to have been placed in the show ring? First I've heard of it, and I know of some top pre-ban coursing whippets who have been nowhere near a showring. Im sure the whippets had to of been placed in the ring to compete at Whippet Club Coursing events. Check out the whippet archives and see how many Laguna's,Shalfleet and Moonlake were show and coursing champions Y.I.S Leeview
-
in whippets it may well be but the working whippets studs are getting up to 23" amazingly Y.I.S Leeview
-
I think you'll find the working whippets are getting bigger, the standard sizes are the same as they always were for showing. As for coursing and racing the rules stated they had to of been placed in the show ring to qualify to enter so they had to be under 201/2" for dogs 191/2" for bitches Y.I.S Leeview

in your quote you mentioned when you first tried this method you used a purse net ring and you felt it had the potential to jangle metal on to metal, therefore my suggestion would eliminate this potential would it not? As for the loops naturally rotating it would not interfere with that in anyway Y.I.S Leeview
-
Tc's suggestion of braiding onto a purse net ring you decided against because of the potential noise problem, a lambing ring or section of inner tube would eliminate the noise potential imo Y.I.S Leeview
