    Get yourself out you little tart you have got enough blubber on you to keep you warm use that pink hat and matching mittens you've got,make sure you have the mittens going through your coat selve on a bit of string,i know how much you would cry if you lost one . Knackered my snaring plans up kept the rabbits in.

    Had bodgerbear up to learn a bit about ferreting,so when he landed it was slinging it down with snow and getting heavier by the minate,so we set off you could hardly see the road because of the snow,got to the main road and as luck would have it a gritting lorry drove past so it made the drive a bit easier,then we pulled off to the country roads and these were bad,quite deeep in parts.So we got to the field and it was still snowing heavy so we had a quick cup of tea and set off,first sett we put nets down there was no sign of any rabbits at all,ferrets in and waited about half an hour later o

    Well had bodgerbear of here over on sunday to do a bit of ferreting,so i thought i would set some hoop snares just to show him what they are and how they work.Went up saturday afternoon to a field i have just got permission on.There was a few rabbits on it when i arrived a few bucks chasing the does,so i thought could be on for a good kill,how wrong was i .Got up this morning to see it was white over,i thought feck it thats knackered the snaring up .So went up to the field with bodgerbear to check and as i thought no rabbits on the field and no tracks where they had been running round,so ch

    Now's the time to stock up on lead, before it goes up for the Summer I am alright for the minuate my mum bought me 5 tins of pellets all airarms for xmas so that will last a few weeks

    me and MR TP,ran into a few yesterday in Nottinghamshire Notice who was doing the digging must admit does not happen very often. Lokks like the ferreting will be coming to an end sortly still got the traps and airifle so won't get bored

    Went out for a couple of hours with the AAS410,got meself tucked into a hedge where there is a nice well used warrens,about 20 mins a rabbit shows so i took aim and just as i pulled the trigger it put its head down to feed pellet went straight over the top,so waited for another, half an hour later another puts in a aperrance this time i waited for it to start feeding,took aim and again just as i pulled the trigger this one lifted its head UP the pellet went under. That was it packed up and came home in a mood .Anybody got any golf clubs for sale

    Couldn't belive it ourselves.As soon as that baby rabbit bolted i knew it would not belong before i hang the nets up till next season.

    Well micky of here and moochers came over saturday to help me set some snares and then back again on the sunday to check the wires and do a few setts.So went out this morning to check the snares we had 1 rabbit the rest had not been touched.The weather was rubbish for snaring there was a frost and it was very still.So on to the ferreting got to the first sett put the purse nets down and entered ferrets within minates first one in the net,10 mins later second one and that was it.We did a few other setts and nothing went the other side of the field first sett we did we bolted a kit of about 5 we

    Yes mate this new permission i have just got there is a hedge on it where the rabbits are coming through from a wooded area at the back PLUS its ideal for a few loops

    I know what you mean KAY the rubbish there was unbelivable,them to bin bags where full of wallpaper,there was beer cans milk bottles and even a couple of used condoms :sick: :sick: and no they where not mine,i love my ferreting but not that much

    They are a handy little box for a quick mooch its got a partion so ferret in one side nets and locator in the other.Handy for a day at little setts

    Don't worry KAY he will be back out when the weather gets a bit warmer and there is not much walking involed,its just he will not be out as much as before i don't think

    This bank is normaly covered with brambles but the farmer cut it down along with the hedge,so i suppose the rabbits felt safe under the undergrowth. TJONES3862 Where abouts do you live pm if you want Ferretville sound like a nice easy do for you can't fault you,i got home gasping for a brew then found out we had no milk .So round the shops in my ferreting togs looking rather scruffy and smelling a bit Thanks for the replies folks
