    Crap days all round. I went to a place that for the past two trips (one a year) have bagged 30 plus rabbits each time., only today I only got 3! Then I found a purse net so some burgers been poaching. Gutted.

    I've just got some some from master hunter.com. I'll be using them this weekend do I'll let you know how I get on with them. They look good quality.

    Great pictures and a good topic. There's one thing for sure if there was any cracks, they would show with the amount of game put in front of them.

    That's true about macs dogs. 9 hares on the fens is some amazing feet. Never seen it done since.

    Drugged up, gurning like there's no tomorrow. I work for the council and see her sort every day. That's the reason the country is f****d, not because of immigration.

    I've had dogs that do this, and there's not much you can do about it in my opinion. Take it ferreting and bushing and even try getting in patches of cover yourself and egging the dog on a bit. Some dogs love to hunt up, others are not that way inclined. I used to have a small deer/wippet/grey who was amazing on the lamp but daytime would stick to your heel.

    It was played on a stand up tv show last night. Carnt remember the name but they had a good laugh at it.

    There are loads of good stud dogs out there.... Barny... Buddy..... Stevie.... Red...... Depending on what you want and how much you wanna pay..... And probally if the owners will let you use them.

    Will they chop a rabbit up, meaning the bones?? I don't use one myself but I could see them been a good tool to have. You could put carrots and other fruit n veg through to mix with the meat. That way they would eat it with out knowing.

    That's one hell of a night!! I went to the dales on Sunday, to two different villages. The first place was high up and I was amazed to see so few rabbits. 4 hours with 3 dogs and not a single rabbit in the bag! Yet 2 years ago you could catch more than you could carry. I wonder if the harsh winter has killed some areas off. The 2 nd place held a few but only managed to bag 3. Still, a great day in amazing country side, especially as I'm a fen dweller!

    When I was 11 I had my first lurcher and I use to write everything down, jabs, training stuff and also catches. Well I was reading through this the other day and she caught her first hare at 6 months old. This was on the fens too and in march. She then caught them weekly from then on. I would like to have her again now just to compare to the dogs I keep now. I thought she was special, but she was my first dog.......but who knows, maybe she was special.

    Yea Doris, that's him. He won the NLRC field trails when that was on the go. One of my mates put the land up for the final, so got the see Jim and his dog work. He says him and his dog worked great as a team, but he did say he had a strange lamping style?? I personally have never seen his dogs work, but I've seen his country show display where his dog fetches a bowl and egg from his ruck sack! Lol

    If its your first lurcher I would recommend watching purdys progress and Coney Catcher 3. Both are great videos about bringing up a young lurcher.

    I know the guy and good luck to him. It's not aimed at young lads in the sport, the same as the day out grouse shooting for £17000 in Yorkshire isn't. If some tourist or well to do sort want a day out trying something different then it's there for the taking.

    What a load of crap free view was. Only showed bits of the card. Missed all the stats out, build ups and entrances. I hope this dosnt become a regular Chanel for it.
