  1. Well I've seen 2 of the dogs and I would have one in a flash.
  2. I'm just putting this topic up to see if I can get in touch with a lad I sold a lurcher pup to a couple of years ago. The rest of the litter who I kept in touch with have had one die, and the other two were stollen. Hence why I'm trying to get back in touch with the lad. The guys name was steve and his dog was called scamp. Scamp was saluki/grey x bull/grey, about 28" and fawn/brown in colour. If any ones knows him I'd be grateful if they would drop me a pm, as Im just currious
  3. H and F is a good one. There is not a great deal of different topics but the ones that are on are really good. Plus you don't get the likes of windyhill! Lol
  4. Just googled it. You learn something new everyday.
  5. So your saying you get lions in India???
  6. The reason there so big is because they used a female tiger and a male lion. Both of these are the larger sex in both breeds. If they bred them the other way round they would be small and compact.
  7. I'd also like to add, they have not bern bred a hare dogs,...so you can only compare then to a genuine first cross airdale/greyhound and I think a saluki/grey insted of a pure grey would make them lighter and much more agile.
  8. I don't see the problem with the litter been bred this way... How many times have we seen a first cross that's got to many bad faults as a result of having one parent which is a pure greyhound, such as lack of stamina and been too large/heavy. I would choose a fast saluki cross every time. For example when I bred my bull/grey bitch, I put a saluki/grey over her instead of a pure grey and I personally think this produced better pups.
  9. Great looking dogs Ribb. Are they all yours? How do they work on different quarry?
  10. The bottom one looks a cracker. How they all bred??
  11. My 9 year old won't even catch a rabbit now, never mind a hare!! All the best to those that still can. I don't mind though as he's had a few when he was younger, and now I've got a 12 month old to take his place. Its a bit sad though when you see them age and slow down.
  12. The dog owner claims they were just chasing rabbits and not the cattle. I tend to believe the dog owner as they lived next to the field and they walk through the field daily that they would be stock broken?? Plus it would be hard to shoot a dog that's chasing a cow without shooting the cow too. But only they know the truth.
  13. Check out radio 2, Jeremy vines show today. He's got a debate on about a farmer who shot 2 dogs on his land. Both the dog owner and farmer are on the show. Should be interesting if nothing else.
  14. It's just been on the news. She was 2 years old and has just passed away.
  15. The Chinese dump baby girls when there born as they don't want them. I heard that they don't even kill them first, just leave them naked to freeze/starve to death.
  16. Don't watch it.... It will leave an image in your head that you really don't want
  17. I need to get out more...... I've only heard of about half a dozen of these people, ha ha.
  18. Been on calendar news when I used to Thai box. I was sparing with someone who had a title fight coming up. If you blinked, you missed it! Lol
  19. Like has already been said, it's £5 per hare head shot, so it's an easy way if making £200 a night no problem. Also it depends on the landowner/farmers view on them. I go on two large farms near me, and one farmer thinks they damage crops and wants everyone dead...and the other dosnt mind them and likes to see them.
  20. I use them and there great. Especially after a hard night on the lamp.
  21. Well I think they look crackers. All the best with them mate.
