    I have made some trap and snare anchors similar to the designs snareman has shared with us. One I used 2mm fox wire with a washer on for fenns and the other type is copper coated steel welding rod I use for body grips. I have adapted a mole probe to push them in with, kindly supplied by Matt the Rat. Different sizes. There are places here where I can push the probe in 4 feet very sandy soil. Pushing the probe in first tells me what size of anchor I can get away with. This shot is just to show how the washer sits in the probe, of course you would

    I haven't read all of this topic but I'm gonna jump in anyway. Transportation of livestock requires a license, do captured animals become 'livestock'? There are other restrictions around the transportation of 'wildlife'. Another thing to consider is this. If a certain type of animal is not present on a piece of land but is present on all surrounding sides, and its absence is not due to human interference, then surely the common sense thinking would be that the land cannot (for whatever reason) support that animal species.
