    Have the old pieps dsp box here that has taken a bit of a hammering down through the years,but still in good working order,apart from a few cracks in the casing and battery cover broken,does anyone know or has any one ever sent one back for new casing?if so where did you send it and how much did it cost,

    For maximum benefit,second jab should be givin at 12 weeks as the anti bodies in the bitches milk are still present in the pups system up until then and will render the jab less effective,if a pup hasn't had a jab before 12 weeks of age the one jab will do as there are no anti bodies from the bitch left to cancel out inoculation,

    Theres no shame in using a bar,theres always a bar present on any dig im on,a very handy tool to have if used correctly,

    some lads swear that by taking a litter of pups of a bitch it can improve there attitude towards work,but no two dogs are the same,and if it were as easy as that everyone would have a yard full of workers.the minerals have to be there in the first place

    The amount of time spent under the ground far out weighs the number of digs a terrier has,a good 4-5 hour dig beats 4 or 5, 1 hour digs for me any day of the week,,

    Do you think it would be a fair statement to say that the 'MAJORITY'of call out dogs wont stay till dug if things aren't going according to plan,albeit there are some that will stay but they would be the exception rather than the norm,by the way this has been the most interesting thread on here in a long time,and its good to hear others veiws

    rob I don't doubt these terriers are very useful and put a lot of game on the bank,but how can it be a stay till dug dog if it comes away when calle?,surely that would make it a stay till dug, unless called out dog,in that case its doing what its doing to please its owner,its the determination I admire most in a terrier,thats the determination to work not please

    Imo a good working terrier works to please' no one' except 'its self,'its doing what its doing because it 'wants' to.if I were looking for a dog I could call whilst working id get a retriever and not a terrier,

    Theres lads over here churning out blue staffie pups and 1000 euros a pop,and pimping out blue staff dogs to stud for a fair bit of coin too.wonder how long it will be before the peddlers jump on the band wagon and start introducing this blue staff blood into there patterdales?if they havn't already.nothing wrong with a dog of any colour as long as its been selectively bred for its ability and not its appearance,'handsome is as handsome does'

    Could never get my head around why someone would pay that sort of money for a dog to win a rosette at a working terrier show,surely it would make more sense to just go out and buy a pedigree dog and enter it in crufts and the likes, if winning shows was there thing.A fool and his money are easily parted

    Don't know the dog, but if the people that used the dog are questioning if they would have used the dog ,had they known there was white dogs in his make up,maybe they should take a look at there own stuff because white being a resesive gene the bitches that threw white pups must also have had white dogs in there make up,

    Rimadyl or metacam a good pain killer anti inflamitary for dogs,or if you know anyone suffers from arthritis some Mobic/moloxicam does the same job and will help ease his suffering,hope your son gets to see him before he passes,
