  1. David makes a big difference to accuracy , when a trigger is too heavy you can pull a shot very easily... Lighter trigger, your not pulling off target. For the sake of £10 no brainer and makes the trigger around 1lb in pull weight, got one in my Tikka .243 and .223 .. i have a set trigger in my T3 supervarmint, set to 8oz it is superb to use.
  2. It's exactly the same principle as using a dayscope. I used to borescope my n750 and now my Drone pro.
  3. Good going, now is the time to hit those daft cubs before they get educated.
  4. I think at £865 for a savage, a cz .17 hornet i a much better proposition altogether.
  5. I swapped my hmr a few years ago but for a .17 hornet, best thing i did.
  6. I'll have to look into this new .232 Calibre, not come across it before, but seems to work for you. ATB! I was thinking that, must be a wildcat calibre.
  7. Thanks for that it's very interesting. Quite a pronounced curve and more than i thought it would be.
  8. Elliot, using 40grn ammo and zeroed to 100yds what is the drop at 150yds, 200yds and 250yds.?
  9. I always use winchester subs, they seem to kill better for me
  10. Right i have lapped mine and it is now smooth to operate whether pointing up or down. I tried it with a mag full of cartridges and it is fine nothing to do with the extractor claw on this one. What you need to remember is cz are cheap mass produced rifles that lack the finish of better quality rifles. That said if you do the finishing they are a decent enough rifle. I will bet they are very cheap indeed in their country of origin it's just that the greedy importers in this country charge us a fortune for them. However i still wish Tikka made a .17 Hornet i would have one tommorrow over a
  11. Mine is still stiff tbh and it has had a good bit of use. I am going to put lapping paste on the bolt and just keep operating it whilst watching the tv to bed it in and remove any burrs and sharp edges.
  12. Nice bit of wood, have you oil finished it?
  13. On mine i have 600 .17 hornet, 500 .243 , 300 .204, 300 22.250 and 300 30/06. As i reload for everything except rimfire the amounts cover the boxes of bullets held .
  14. Of course it can and that was the point i was trying to make rather clumsily. Once you cross anything it doesn't always follow that the pups inherit the best qualities of each breed sometimes it's the opposite. Your pups are nicely bred and should make good workers in the right hands. Sorry to have caused offence, i was just trying to point out to the chap that things don't always follow how we think they will. In hindsight i should have done so on a seperate thread and not on your sales thread.
  15. In an ideal world yes that is how you would want them to be. Unfortunately they are lurchers and as such can gravitate to any of it's genes. You may end up with the brains of a greyhound, speed of a bedlington and fire of a collie, i hope not but it is certainly possible. I've read of that possible scenario a few times, but have never actually seen it. All the pups in mixed litters I've seen have all been pretty much fast enough, itelligent enough, fiery enough and fairly racy. Some more than others, but none turning out like you've just posted. Not calling you a liar, just saying wha

  17. Nice shooting, i have a mint fwb sport mk2 and they are really nice rifles to shoot. You just need a nice period jap scope on it instead of the mtc.
  18. what scope you got on it Elliot, ???? Jodrell bank!
