Geronimo, had a spiritual vision that he would never be killed by any gun, literally rode directly in to gunfire during battle fearlessly and never was shot down, got the name Geronimo because it was the patron saint of the enemy, and it's what they would scream as he cut their throats, he killed so many he was then called Geronimo himself.

Never watched it before...just finished, excellent!! He was a unique man for sure. We'll worth a watch if you liked the blockheads.

Best Working Dog Food
Terra Firma replied to Floyd17586's topic in Working Dog Health & Training Talk
Orijen whole prey or nutrivet 10 fish, you're never going to get a complete dry food that's high quality for £15-20 a bag. Period. -
BASC doesn't cover dog related stuff though, as I understand it. SACS is for hunting with dogs and dog associated stuff.

Tradesmen Which Cordless Power Tools Do You Use?
Terra Firma replied to shepp's topic in General Talk
Milwaukee, I absolutely abuse my battery tools, I'm on price everyday so haven't got time to sod about using all different tools so the 18v cordless, drills fixings on concrete and punches 25mm augers through joists all day long, they've outlasted every 18v make I've had previously, dewalt are rubbish now, pick up a Milwaukee drill with no battery and then another make, feel the difference in weight, Milwaukee have all metal gears and motors in them, read the spec on them. As with anything, make sure you buy the heavy duty range (HD) as with all things there's varying levels/prices of dif -
Pure bleach, scrub everything down a good few times, my vet told me it can live for years in soil/concrete if not treated and neat bleach was the way to go.

If you're in shepherds bush get down to Cookes pie & mash shop on the Goldhawk road, it's been going since 1899 but due to redevelopment of the area it won't be there for much longer, great bit of grub in there, we'll worth a visit for some traditional food.

If it's the main heat source in a room it will be the 200w per m2 system, so 5m2 would be 1000w, so for 1hr the cost would be approx 15p per 5m2.

Got a high seat on a shoot where the foxes break cover from a ditch at 120-130 yards, it knocks them over easily with a properly placed shot. Obviously, you need to be competent at that distance and make sure that you can be effective at that range.

The Best Lurcher Men And The Dogs They Choose...
Terra Firma replied to Dan McDonough's topic in Lurchers & Running Dogs
The 3 best all round catch dogs I've personally witnessed in the lamp have all been sal/bull/grey in various percentages, all from well tested stock. That's not the be all and end all of breeding though, just what I've seen myself. -
Guy round our way has 3 well bred black cocker bitches, he bought them when Kate Middleton was seen with one, breeds the arse out of them, now cockerpoos are the rage he breeds them as they're worth more to sell. I don't Agee with it one bit, but there's a endless amount of tits that'll pay the ££'s, he's raking it in.

Cocker £350-450 Cockerpoo £750-850

He's just bit someone else, FIFA will come down on him hard this time.

Fair enough, great little dog for someone, hope you find the right home for him.

I would never be without a busher alongside my lurchers, every walk is a hunt with a busher in the team, you'll get the dogs pinging fit and catch stuff that the lurcher would defo miss.

Best Dslr & Lens For Action Shots?
Terra Firma replied to Terra Firma's topic in Wildlife and General Photography
Well I've got £2-3k set aside for for a new camera or lens, as I said I want to upgrade my existing kit which is a 350D, but seems that a lens would be the better investment, followed by a body upgrade at a later date when I've gained enough knowledge to need it or get the best out of it. -
Best Dslr & Lens For Action Shots?
Terra Firma replied to Terra Firma's topic in Wildlife and General Photography
Right lads, thanks for all the advice, I think that a decent lens is in order then! Whilst learning to get the most out of my setup before spending a small fortune on a new body. Next question! What size lens do you recommend? -
Best Dslr & Lens For Action Shots?
Terra Firma replied to Terra Firma's topic in Wildlife and General Photography
Some good replies there lads, just what I was after, from people with experience out in the field. As what is great for most people won't suit what I/we want in the field whilst out. I've got plenty to think about and research now! -
Best Dslr & Lens For Action Shots?
Terra Firma replied to Terra Firma's topic in Wildlife and General Photography
It is my understanding that RAW files allow you to "tweek" you're pictures so that you may be able to improve on the image if it's not quite right. Where as with JPEG it is already decided for you to an extent... Or have I been misled? Lol The more I look into it the more questions arise, so thought that I'd ask on here as there will be people using their DSLR set ups for the same purpose as me. I know it's more down to the persons capabilities in handling the camera, that I can learn, but I would like to get the right camera for my needs first time and then get better with it. W
